I can't make this as I'm working in Scarborough this evening. Could someone please take care of server duties? This is my last event before SRW takes over the reins for our Sunday racing. I'd like to thank him for stepping up and wish him all the best As ever, thanks to those behind the scenes that have helped out I'll be having a break for a while as I don't have much playtime currently but I'll be joining the odd event where possible.

I am likely traveling at server start time. Perhaps Stephen would have a go? He was suggesting some practice

Unlike the NSUs I hate these things, I'm noncompetitive over a single lap, and then can't make the tyres last, so probably not going to race but if push comes to shove I can start the server at 8. Are you going to give it a go SRW?

Could be. I am not a fan of these cars, they seem esy, but I always end up spinning on power the handling to me is "misleading"

i am up for starting the server on Sunday, sorry for not replying sooner but i have been busy for the last couple of evenings and annoyingly i can no longer access the forum at work because our strict antivirus internet filter blocks the site classing it as 'gaming and gambling'.
PHspok, i will look through the instructions in your e-mail tomorrow, i would like to do a trial run when no one is on the server.

I used to use teamspeak in the old days when we raced GTR2, I will fire it up (if I can remember the password).

No one is likely to be doing practice on the server, so fire it up and down whenever you like. The fields are mostly intuitive, but make sure that the tyre wear/fuel are "normal" unless you want higher. Make sure that the qual time window does not have a rotating tyre or you will get ai driving your car when you go to qual at first. Be aware, that the practice clock doesn't actually start until someone joins. (or gets restarted)

With Dieter and Picnic not too far behind had to concentrate for the whole race. Though shame that as Dieter came closer i seemed to end up making a mistake, but then he did as well and dropped back further.
Well done all for turning up.
Tried a few different setup stles, settled on running low springs, with low bump but a high rebound. I've enjoyed running these cars, requires a bit more concentration shame others didnt.
Noticed the calendar says theres one more race left, Bathurst 20th Aug.

As usual I struggled. To start with I couldn't negotiate the hairpin as I hadn't got enough steering lock! Never had that problem in RRE before but, thanks to Spanner's help, got that sorted so qually was my practice. As soon as the race started I realised my top gear wasn't long enough, not that in the end it would have made any difference. As with always in these cars I suffered badly with tyre wear. Front left was yellow at about half way and angry and flashing at me at the end of the race. Apart from the 1st lap on cold tyres I hadn't got the pace of the front 2 and it was essentially a lonely race.

Low turn-out, but again a good race for me except for a couple of schoolboy errors.. Schoolboy error no. 1: Could have sworn it was a rolling start in these cars, so I was a little confused when everyone shot off the line..! Schoolboy error no. 2: Just as I closed right up on Mark near the end, I engaged DRS a little too soon out of a corner, lost rear downforce and hit the wall Oops.. Fun though. Congrats Mark, thanks all.

I enjoyed the race although I was way behind everybody else, with only about 20 mins practice I spent the first part of the race getting up to speed (which included an off due to a missed braking point). @Goldtop Thanks for organising these R3E races for the past year and a half, I have enjoyed the mix of cars you have used (although the jury is still out on the formula juniors). Hope you will find some spare time to get behind the wheel at some of my races and not do a H@L and disappear completely
