Managed to fluke a resonable qual time which put me in 3rd. Had to conced to Mo as he was way faster in the race and decide my best bet was to concentrate on preserving 4th and not to cook the tyres. All went well untill TrueTom caught me, we then had an almighty battle which all went a bit pear shaped at the final corner of the last lap costing us both a place. Oh well thats racing, gutted to loose 4th but there we go. Good stuff Tom just a pitty about the final outcome.

Good stuff peeps, Not playing GTR a lot anymore, so was pleased to be in 9th or so after quali. Not a lot of people around unfortunately, which really showed for me in the race! Managed to remember we did a pace lap first and ended up chasing Mark, who was very likely scared by my very ugly racing color beak so he spun giving himself an excuse to let me past and look at my nice Penguin ass! LOL! TrueTom prolly had similar reasons for a spin, although he can always ask for private pics in our 'private' forum! ;P Anyways, I overtook him as well, but noticed he was a likkly quicker through the corners, on the straight and during breaking... Pretty much everywhere actually, so I let him off and moved over! After that it was quite, well, boring, lol. I seemed to be the balance the server was running on...7 Secs gap in front and 7 secs in the back. If 1 moved up, so did the other! Haha! 15 secs front and back, then 20 or so, slight mistake, 15 again, hehe! Ah well, ended up 6th I think cause of someone (I think TrueTom) leaving before end? Else I was 7th, throughout most of the race T P.S. Mark, I think you misread Picnic's reply, hehe. I know I did 1st time

Great race, my car wasn't quite right.. !! F550 is still a mystery to me lol. Hey Jon didn't you move only a few months ago, or maybe that was someone else? Don't know.. well hope the move isn't too stressful for ya, hope it's somewhere nice. Very good race though.. super new record pole time 1m24.9 !! Outstanding. Was a good start although I saw some carnage in my mirror into T2 lap 1!! Had some dirty laps chasing leader and F550 holding ground behind me until suddenly it disappeared, which made me relax a little and I kept saying just keep it cool but some how I braked too late into T4 and camber/marbles pulled me over into tyre wall. Recovered in 3rd but I thought it was more like 6th cause I rejoined behind you Fozz in that nice Lambo. Great stuff.

Replay and provisional results now upSorry it was late, one of the perils of working from home. It appears you are available all day Not sure what you guys thought I meant but I was moaning about work, not anything here. Sadly one of the guys I work with gets up at 10 and works evenings and thinks I should do to.

Good race for me, Anderstorp continues to treat me kindly, whether it's GTR or GTL. Qualified 7th, just pipping Mark towards the end. For a long time we had identical times down to the nearest 1000th. The outlappers did a very good job of giving me room when I was on a hot lap. Remember Fozz pulling over a couple times and a couple other drivers making room in tight mid-corner situations, so thanks for that, much appreciated. A lap or two in I took too much kerb at T3 and lost momentum, allowing Mark to pass me on the straight. I then somehow managed to re-pass Mark under braking at the next corner by accident. I was busy looking in my mirror trying to decide if I needed to let the next car past, missed my normal braking point completely, flukily got the trail-braking perfect and turned smoothly into the corner like the car was on rails. I was past before I realised what happened, talk about dozy. Lukily I think it was a clean move in the end, but I'll be looking at the replay closely. Hope I didn't give you a scare Mark, in my head I'd already conceded the position! Had a fairly quiet race after that. A recovering TrueTom caught and passed me fairly easily after a brief battle. I couldn't keep up with the fast guys, who zoomed away from me like they were in GT40s , but steadily pulled away from the rest of the field. Met one back-marker, who also did a good job of letting me by, thanks again. Was running a comfortable 6th and lapping very consistantly, but when I got to the last corner of the last lap found two cars in the gravel ahead of me, giving me an undeserved 4th place, which equals my best ever GTR finish. Another fine win to Jon, hope Mo kept you honest at the front.

Thanks for letting me pass, Tyf. Was a bit nervous, the guys in front were running away. My mistake was late braking with cold tyres and brakes. Nice little battle with Aagramn, couldn't quite pass you until you made a lousy exit to the big straight. Long, exhaustive duel with Greg. I was a bit faster, but not enough to pass. F550 has great power and on the breaking its ass just gets bigger, too big to pass by safely. So I tried unsafe and BLEW IT! Sorry Greg. I let you pass, it was my fault and I promised never to do it again. When your tyres started to go I tried to outbreak you, make a run on you, press you into a mistake, opening at every breaking. NOTHING WORKED! So, it was a last lap, do it or die! Came a bit too fast out of that long right hander, I expected you to block on the left, but not that soon. And I BLEW IT AGAIN. Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry! :'( Aagramn went by before we recovered and well, ... P.S. It may have contributed, though it's not a proper excuse, that a late visitor came to the house and I wanted to finish the bloody race - my wife was really pi**ed, having to entertain him for almost 10 minutes alone, while I was playing. How could a guy be married AND free at the same time?

went into this race with the aim not to be lapped twice which i manage by 200 yards, I'm happy with that. Front runners setting a pace i could only dream of. being in the 911gt2 i got a little nervous when 3rd place Ferrari slipstreamed down the straight was praying he make a move before braking zone which he did. Having the tyre warning going from lap 16 meant i was wondering allover the place on the brakes. managed to keep a 6 sec gap person in front of me until he spun leaving me with a 54 sec gap to fozz to make up, was never going to make that up so opted to back it off and bring it home. Good race by all

I only discovered in the race that my Lambo was a bag of shite. Could not get speed off the banking :-(

Whitham69, I take it you were in the Bi-Turbo, you know we classified that as NGT. Fozz

I think it was a 911 GT2 Fozz, not a bi-turbo. The GT2 is part of our GT class.

Was a GT2 yeh, and he's a very brave man for taking it out! Seconded. I like to drive it sometimes for fun, but only for a lap or two, can't imagine racing it.
