All members welcome. Path the install to the new REAL GTL you have just created). Install ver 1.0 first then update with the ver 1.3 install. Run the sim and purchase the cars. We will not be able to use any skin packs with this mod. Drivers are reminded that the maximum number of drives in any car is One. Check your status hereTime of Day Setting: 14:00 Start: STANDING Tyre wear: Normal Fuel consumption: Normal Server: simracing.org.uk RGTL Password: see aboveNotes: (1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage. (2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules. (3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read Autopit="0" Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable. (4) Driver lists can be found on the championship standings pageSpecial Notes: None.

Not sure whether it was my connection or server's connection which was lost :-(((.
Sometimes it will always be the first time ...
Any way - wasn't able to rejoin.
Looks like a real streak of bad luck at the moment.
At least I could register another PB with 1.29.6.
Hope that Thursday's race and above all the LeMans event on Friday over at GTLDK will be much better.

I was getting a load of disco's last season. It really hacks you off after all the praccy and prep. So I sympathise. In the end I bought a new router and so far, so good.

Nice simple track to learn, thanks Tony. Last night was my Gordini Night, Like you and many others wrote the 1100 is the nicest and easiest drive. Chuffed once again PBs all round - in the race I was so far off the pace that that was all I had to enjoy myself with. Everytime I compromised lap moving over or lifting to be lapped I concentrated on exiting the last turn at max speed and drove each lap like a qualifier. Result lots of offs and lousy times with some really fast laps - for me anyway. Sorry Tony for tap on lap 1, you slowed more than I expected and I lifted, fearing a spin with certainty of taking you off as well, if I braked, I just prayed with you driving a Yank Tank I'd come off worse - wrong. I didn't wait, as I knew you'd soon catch me and I'd give you the line for any corners. (2 hours heavy work is all we olds can manage so I'm catching up on my various PC jobs.)

Bill, I wasn't driving a yank tank and you didn't tap me. I was in one of the trio of MkII Jags present last night. Had a cracking start of the grid and after the rumpus at the chicane I found I was in 4th place (I believe). This lasted until just after turn 6 when Hristo attacked my chuff and I span off, leaving me last. Disappointed that Hristo didn't wait for me to rejoin. It's not a rule but it is expected. Spent the remainder of the race on my own with odd encounters with Bill (lapping) and Eifel (racing). Kenn retired but Alex was too far in front for me to catch so I just trundled around watching out for the battling Mustangs and Falcons of the leaders. Thanks to everyone who joined in last night. The next is at Mallory.......Hmmm Elite or Abarth

Sorry, Tony, but from my in-car camera I was on the outside of the turn and it looked like I wasn't going into your car, yet it span you around. I later span Phil around in the same manner which puzzles me, for it again looked like I wasn't going into the car, but around it. I suspect the Elite has some low-hanging bumper that can't be seen from the cockpit and given my inexperience with the car in race conditions I was unaware of how wide it actually is. I didn't wait, because it was lap 1, everyone was bunched up together and I was fighting for position with the cars. Later on when I spun Phil around I could afford to wait.
As for T1, I just lost the car and once it went on the grass it was not possible to slow down enough. It's not something I would ever do on purpose though.
I had some suspicion that the heavy muscle cars would be fast around here, but I didn't expect such a difference with the small car. I regret that I didn't listen to my inner voice and take one of the muscle cars, so I ended up struggling for speed with the Elite. Even so, I had terrific battle with Phil for 4th place which went on for the whole length of the race. Finally managed to snatch it from him on the final lap and just finish in front on the run to the line! Thanks for the fair fight, Phil!
Grats Ade, Mark and PH!

Many thanks to you too Hristo, very gentlemanly. Was a great battle which you, in the much under-powered car, deserved to win. Well done!

Many thanks to you too Hristo, very gentlemanly. But only when he has time to be, it appears It does say in the rules something about taking a voluntary drive through if you cannot wait. That's for future reference.

That's for future reference. Feel free to penalize me, Tony. I don't think it makes much sense to wait on lap 1, I've been bumped and spun on lap 1 as well and never complained about it, and nobody ever waited for me. Lap 1 is highly risky and rarely someone hits someone on purpose, or can afford to just slow down and wait, and cause more accidents, or lose any chance for fighting for a position. As much as I was sorry about spinning you, it's just part of racing and it's not something I would keep doing repeatedly each race. It's just one of those things that happen sometimes.

My poor little Abarth came out of it worst at T1, I got spun around & ended up facing the wrong way with everyone else disappearing off up the road! Still I came home 6th, which is where I probably would have finished anyway, so can't complain. Congrats to the podium. Won't be able to make Snetterton next week, so hopefully cya all at Riverside.
