I've got to agree. This came as a real pleasant suprise to me, this track is great fun. Think the Alpine, with its great brakes, is always dangerous in mixed races but, with largely universal praise, maybe this track deserves a serious outing  Smiley

By serious I hope you don't mean faster cars? That's what I loved about this race was the car choice. Not too fast for it to get dangerous, but also not too slow to get boring.
The TC76 class should not be used here IMO. After seeing Tibs car finish this race, I'd be very worried how his TC76 would look like Wink.

Err no Smiley Just saying the Alpine is dodgy in mixed traffic no matter what track to be honest.

Anyone not enjoy that? Smiley

Ah, I was referring to your "serious outing". I thought that might mean faster cars Smiley. Cars combo was great, one of the best combo's around at the moment  thumbup1

I got spun around and had to sit and wait for you all to pass!
whistling I can't believe someone spun you whistling ..... In outrage at what happened to you, I stopped & waited to allow you at least one place back. Sorry mate, it was a complete shock when it happened & totally gutting too  Sad

I thought that was me actually Legzy, tapping Madd.  Embarrassed

Got tapped off at the start of lap 2, .

That was me.  Sad :'(

Sorry to you two, just completely failed to ever get T1/2 right, missed the apex of both every single lap.  I certainly tapped a green Aston in T2 at the start, was being ultra careful, thought I would get hit from behind I was going so slow, then the Aston suddenly slowed, but I think that's because it was actually going to take the corner rather than run out wide like I did every time.

Same a lap later, braked early, then came off the brakes thinking I'd braked too soon, but no, overshot into Steve.  Something very wrong with those corners, definitely not my driving.  whistling

Great fun round the ring though, epic battle with sbg for the first 1/2 lap, nose to tail, then I spun it.  Managed to only hit the barriers 4 or 5 more times, but my laps got quicker every tour.   Smiley

Actually much more fun to race on than I expected.  Cool

Yesterday i joined the race after several attempts, maybe i was choosing the wrong cars even if they were allowed to race....
Anyway once entered a messege said continuously "loading Ruskus" and couldn't do anything to setup the car or chatting...

Cheers

I'd love that but there might be an issue with pitting here.
I believe (don't quote me) that to pit, you come in at the end of the 'mini stadium lap', it then registers you completing a full lap without actually doing 90% of the whole loop (it would need testing I guess).
If that is the case, everyone would need to be limited to a minimum & maximum of one pitstop each.  beta1

There is a pitlane entry as you enter the S/F straight at the end of the lap, goes through the cones if I remember correctly. I have done a 3 hour race at NoGrip where we used the 24H layout & you can definitely get into the pits OK.

Back to last nights race. First sorry to the Aston I hit at T1, not sure if it was Dan or Madd. I braked for the corner & the car suddenly went sideways & onto the grass, no way of stopping on the grass Embarrassed. It wasn't a big bump & the Aston carried on, but sorry anyway. After that though the race went quite well, picked my way through the melee at T2 & was about 9th or 10th. Passed a few cars on the first lap & was upto 6th on the long straight with SBG & PR just ahead. Then one after another they just vanished Huh. I was half expecting the dreaded 'lost connection' to come up, but fortunately I was OK.

Dynosaur's Aston blasted past on the S/F straight at the end of the lap & I followed him around lap 2 until he shot away on the long straight. But at the Hohenrain chicane he had spun off & I moved back into 4th place. Rest of the race I was on my own in 4th but nearly threw it away on the last lap when I braked too late for the turn off the GP track & had to go around the back of the barriers before rejoining the track Roll Eyes.

Congrats to JR, Dan & Matt.

More Nordschleife please, its one of those tracks you can have a great race on, even when you are circulating alone. I agree that the 76s might be a bit of a handful around here (Porsches are good fun though) but any of the other cars are suitable.

It seems like many of you hit me!  Wink
tbh I was only slightly miffed as due to the length of the lap its not really too much of a problem to try and make time back, my main problem was poor driving on my part by throwing it off the track a few times (mainly due to lack of enthusiasm to practice beforehand).
So no harm done.
Thankyou all for your apologies though!  Cheesy

Maybe we all wanted too Grin.... but I just checked the replay  Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed
Geoffer's it was Minton you tapped not Madd. Sadly it was me that spun Madd, then instantly brushed into you Steve. Which would be why you might have thought it was you I guess. I approached the corner sensibly, I just didn't allow for how much slower the DB4 is then the Alpine round that slow turn two. Sorry again Madd, glad that like me you went on to enjoy the race anyway  Smiley

Oi! Cheesy

Actually I'd like to at least try a 76 race here. Maybe the slower 76s though.

Yeah it would have to be tested , Done a couple of 8 lap races at R2P and it was nice to have a little break then go back out and do another 4 laps.  Got to agree the car choice is great but the Healey is quite a bit slower over a long lap like that than the Fezza and Aston . Maybe Escort, 911 and the slower BMW would be a good choice for cars from the ,76 class? Smiley
