I'd love that but there might be an issue with pitting here.
I believe (don't quote me) that to pit, you come in at the end of the 'mini stadium lap', it then registers you completing a full lap without actually doing 90% of the whole loop (it would need testing I guess).
If that is the case, everyone would need to be limited to a minimum & maximum of one pitstop each.
There is a pitlane entry as you enter the S/F straight at the end of the lap, goes through the cones if I remember correctly. I have done a 3 hour race at NoGrip where we used the 24H layout & you can definitely get into the pits OK.
Back to last nights race. First sorry to the Aston I hit at T1, not sure if it was Dan or Madd. I braked for the corner & the car suddenly went sideways & onto the grass, no way of stopping on the grass
. It wasn't a big bump & the Aston carried on, but sorry anyway. After that though the race went quite well, picked my way through the melee at T2 & was about 9th or 10th. Passed a few cars on the first lap & was upto 6th on the long straight with SBG & PR just ahead. Then one after another they just vanished
. I was half expecting the dreaded 'lost connection' to come up, but fortunately I was OK.
Dynosaur's Aston blasted past on the S/F straight at the end of the lap & I followed him around lap 2 until he shot away on the long straight. But at the Hohenrain chicane he had spun off & I moved back into 4th place. Rest of the race I was on my own in 4th but nearly threw it away on the last lap when I braked too late for the turn off the GP track & had to go around the back of the barriers before rejoining the track
.
Congrats to JR, Dan & Matt.
More Nordschleife please, its one of those tracks you can have a great race on, even when you are circulating alone. I agree that the 76s might be a bit of a handful around here (Porsches are good fun though) but any of the other cars are suitable.
