Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 383s

Darren takes it easy under braking at the end of the back straight because he has SbG on his inside. Madd misses his braking point and rear ends him, with Madd coming off substantially worse as he spun to the back of the field. It's evident from the replay that Madd tried to swerve left at the last moment but left it too late.

  • Madd-RIPpenalty — rear ending SbG on the first flying lap — 2 places lost
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 1031s

The M3 of Anthony Humphreys was turned around by Nev a few corners before and several cars had slipped by, including Bernie Lomax in the Morgan. As they approach turn 12, Bernie is on the left as they come out of the fast left hand kink of T11, with Ant behind and to the right.

As they reach the tyre marks in the braking area for T12, Bernie jinks slightly to the right just before he brakes, and Anthony moves slightly let; Ant suddenly finds himself two feet too far to the left and runs straight into the back right corner of Bernie's car, spinning him off.

Anthony waits for Bernie to rejoin and rejoins behind him, losing three places in the process.

Looking at Anthony's braking point on previous laps, I believe he missed his braking point entirely. He could also have positioned his car further to the right, which would not only have given him a safety margin under braking, but also a good chance of passing Bernie again into T13. Unfortunately he did not submit his side of the story so by default I feel obliged to issue a penalty.

I've not registered for the sprint series.....but if there is likely to be any space (at the back) on the grid, I would love a run out HuhHuhHuhHuh?

I'm hoping so as I'd like to give the Vertigo a run. I think there were only 20 drivers at the last event so that's 6 or 8 spots free.

Of course, we don't know for sure that we'll have the server back in time tomorrow evening... Fingers crossed...

Bit disappointed by the lack of imagination shown in picking the vertigo Wink. Its getting a bit common now.

I've got a tough choice between RSR (even more plebeian) and the mighty Morgan now I'm a full timer. Anyone else walking on the wild side with the wooden wonder? To be honest, can't drive it as fast the vertislow (don't want to hear how others can drive it fast Tongue) so no other Morgans=a boring choice for me.

I've not done any Morgan practice but I'll be there with the Team Shark one if I get in.

Ok dave thanks....I will have a look tomorrow and see..

The way it looks at the moment, you could start a seperate VERTIGO league on it's own..... Grin

Hi Pete
It would be useful to have an idea of the likelyhood of the race going ahead. Have you been told whether the PSU is expected to be replaced today or are you completely in the dark?

cheers

Paul

I've not heard anything since they said they were planning to order a new PSU yesterday, expecting delivery and fitment today. I was planning to ask late morning for an update if it was not back online.

Still no concrete news on the server - if we haven't heard by 17:00 then we'll postpone the race.

And there are no other server options? Nobody has a strong enough 2nd PC to run such a thing?

It's a question of bandwidth Ruskus. We rent an anonymous box, I just know the spec but not who makes it or exactly where is even lives! Docklands area but that's the best I can tell you. I couldn't even get there before tonights race if I could access it and had suitable bits Wink

Server rental in these parts is not cheap, you can easily pay well over 100 quid a month and I've seen people charging over 200 for our spec server. Sadly one of the downsides of saving money is the backup resources aren't as good, doesn't excuse the lack of feedback but does mean spares are not as readily available Sad
