PRibeiro makes a late passing attempt into banc sabadell catching Ossie and spinning him.
PRibeiro waited for Ossie to resume and gave the place back so penalty reduced.

Approaching turn 1 Ossie was closely following PRibeiro but was caught out under braking resulting in rear contact.

Ossie waited for PRibeiro to resume and gave the place back so penalty reduced. Credit must go to both drivers for doing the "right" thing throughout their race long battle.

Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 371s

Darren locks up and runs wide at Banc Sabadell where Ossie takes the opportunity well and passes keeping a tight line through the turn. Darren regains control but turns into Ossie resulting in minor contact. There is then further minor contact as both cars head onto the straight as Ossie runs slightly wide leaving little room for Darren. There was no harm done to either driver through either points of contact and Ossie rightly kept the place he had gained. At this point however, Darren showed a little frustration and wrongly flashed his lights at Ossie causing some distraction. Darren, to his credit, did admit he was wrong to do so and sent an appology to Ossie immediately after the race.
Following this both cars arrive at turn one side by side where, each obviously trying to outbrake the other, both cars lock up and Ossie is unable to make the turn in being on the outside line.

Reviewing the replay we noticed a number of other minor incidents and some good, battling driving between Ossie and Darren for long periods in the race.

Close racing will always have it's share of this type of stuff...basically rubbing bumpers and each driver trying his best to outdo the other.

These are pure racing incidents.

A bit of a mixed bag from me.

Quali was fine, with BACKO stealing pole by .001s Roll Eyes but it was still front row.  I managed to nail the start and got into T1 in the lead Grin and after that I steadily pulled out a small gap.  Around lap 3 I realised I'd not put mediums back on after quali, and my front-left tyre was around 120-130 degrees Shocked Sad  The tyres held their own though and I won by about 5s in the end Smiley

Race 2 was always going to be interesting starting from the back, I changed to mediums though that may have been my biggest mistake.  I got off the grid a little slow but I managed to get into T1 in a reasonable position, then got smacked by someone and somehow I managed to hold it on the grass.  A close couple of laps had me 2 or 3 places behind Jeff around 7th.  After fighting passed Kerr and Darren (I think), I was chasing down Jeff, 7s behind BACKO the leader, when I got sideways under braking and took a big trip across the grass.  Rejoined on the outside of Sabadell and ended up doing a slightly silly move under braking into T1 on John (apologies Embarrassed though I did make the inside apex somehow Cheesy) but it was immaterial as I binned it into the tyres less than half a lap later Sad  Looking back on it I have a feeling the damage I got from the first lap was why the car was so twitchy rather than the medium tyres, though I should've still been a bit more careful trying to catch the leaders.

Well done to JR and BACKO on some good racing, and everyone who turned up- whould be good to see a couple more next week Cool

Madd - you dog! you took me in the second race by an insect's pubic hair - LOL.  Fair enough tho', you were way faster - if only you hadn't binned it.

Replays, results and standings in all the normal places....There has been an ooooopie with the result of the second race...as you can see it is showing double entries of all drivers. This will be fixed as soon as I find out how Huh Embarrassed

It was hard work that little car...glad it wasn't an endurance race Shocked

Enjoyed it though even with not being able to do a lap within 2 seconds of my praccy times Huh

Next week at Donington is going to be fun. Well done all tonight and Grats to winners and podiums.

PLEASE don't race at Adria.  It's bad enough being forced to race at this gokart track in the other championships...  Undecided

Sorry my mistake...I looked at the 'forthcoming' bit and only saw Donni.  Adria it is then....but dont worry, I would assume since first race was in the vipers, and last night in the elise, that we are going to have one of the two German Go-Karts here anyway Cheesy

Well, its not my fave either (after 10 laps pracci Wink ). Not promising anything, but how does everbody else feel? Please bear in mind its the 811's turn for an outing, no matter which track we use, and we originally wanted to follow schedule of main comps to avoid having to learn a new track every week.

I would be ok with a change of venue....dont like adria much and we have 4 races there in the next couple of weeks. As long as we choose a 'well known' track....probably something used in season 5 that is still reasonably fresh in peoples minds. I don't  have a lot of time to learn too many new tracks in a week Wink

I like Adria more than Barcelona National. If we raced there in GT1 class it shouldn't be too hard to drive GT3.  Angry  I vote for Adria.  Smiley

Same here Cool it's not that bad a track- it gets better the more laps you turn imo.

Oi TT whose side are you on.  Wink

How about Hockenheim?  Either the GP or national track would do.
