You were missed Birger For once I had some sort of pace, managed a decent start, and then had good fun chasing Eck, or trying to stay in front... mostly the 1st version.

Well done Geoff on a dominant win I seemed to be a curse tonight, John disconnected when I was chasing him in the early laps and Jos spun into a wall when chasing me - I saw him coming on the brakes, left some room but then had to turn in at the last minute. There is a fast car somewhere in the Opel at this track, the sweet spot is just so narrow. I thought the race might start and come back to me as it went on because my tyres were lasting nicely but it became like driving on chewing gum as they warmed up. I completely lost touch with Dieter and Pete - well done on the podiums. Still had fun though

Still had fun though It was fun for me whilst it lasted. The worst thing of all was that RaceRoom failed to load the graphics of my own car when we moved to the race session. I could only see parts of the cockpit but very little. That was very disturbing and a killer for any video recording... Something similar but less pronounced happened with the last Scirocco race, where the top left part of the car was missing. Very awkward and I hope it doesn't happen again! Adapting to driving without seeing my own car didn't take long and I improved a couple of positions to P2 and was holding the challenges from behind although it was really on the edge. In one of those, Dieter? and I touched and lost a few seconds (thanks for waiting) and a couple of positions. I went back in the charge to attempt regaining them but lost my rear in one of those RaceRoom specific situations when you go beyond a threshold and there is nothing you can do to recover the car. As in slow motion, you can see the car rotating into the wall and no input you provide make any difference. The result was a broken suspension and a rough engine. No chance to repair it on my pit entry so DNF for me. Congrats to Geoff (1:16.0 Great pace!) and podium. See you in the next race. Jos

Race went better than expected last night, been very tired the last few days and almost didn't race. First few laps were fun watching Jos and Dieter battling away and occasionally getting in their way Played a blinder on the start straight when Jos got a slightly poorer exit out of the last corner, we were almost 3 abreast down the straight. With the requirement of early braking in the Audi I was never going to be competing in to the first corner but I think I distracted the other two sufficiently they had a small coming together allowing me past the pair of them. I held 2nd for a few laps but Dieter was consistently quicker than me and, when my front tyres started flashing on the wear indicators, he breezed passed. So Geoff, were you short on fuel or just couldn't be bothered with another lap? Nice timing Again awesome pace you have

Annoyed to out-brake myself early on and lose touch with Geoff, as I was confident I had the pace to stay with him. On the plus side though, that just plonked me into the middle of a super fight with Jos and Pete (and later Glenn), at least for the first half of the race.
Sorry Jos for the nudge into T1, and even more sorry to see you spin out further round the lap. Maybe I gave you a bit of rear end damage? Apologies if so. After getting back past Glenn it seemed like I wasn't going to be able to close up enough on Pete, but I guess your tyres went off badly at the end. And I presume Geoff slowed at the end to avoid doing another lonely lap!
Good fun. Congrats Geoff, and Pete for P3.

Think I had a hole in my fuel tank! I drove two 30 minutes practice and put in more fuel but in the race when I had about 7 minutes to go I got the red numbers. Initially I short shifted but with a couple of minutes to go I coasted around in the highest drivable gear and finished race with no fuel. Phew just made it!

So Geoff, were you short on fuel or just couldn't be bothered with another lap? Nice timing Again awesome pace you have Frex was right, I slowed down to save doing another lap, however I got my calculations a bit wrong as I thought I would have around 5s to spare & I was getting a little concerned as I came up to the finish line about how close Frex & you were getting. Once committed to slowing up I had to go through with it as I would not be carrying enough speed to start another lap & stay in front, it was all a bit closer than I thought it would be. Very pleased with the pace I wrung out of the big old Audi, you need to be aggressive but controlled with it. It was really satisfying when it four wheel drifted it's way around the Carousel although I only really managed that a couple of times successfully. Congrats to Frex & Pete on the podium.

It was a great fight indeed, frex. Don't worry about the nudge. These things happen and I know it wasn't intentional. Thanks again for waiting, I managed to keep the car straight and that saved us some time. I don't think there was any permanent rear damage that would have influenced my spin later... That was more the RaceRoom threshold (at least for me) beyond which there is nothing more you can do to influence the car's dynamics... I appreciate that you can lose the car in all sims and real life, but I feel this type of spin behaviour too RaceRoom specific... One of the things I need to adapt better on this sim that otherwise is and feels great. Jos
