What I would say to everyone is if you keep working at a particular car, it's amazing how much you can improve times even when you think you've reached the limit. That's one of the reasons I like this mod Couldn't agree more. Chopped 2 seconds off the Minardi's lap time. And FYI, a fresh install of GTR2 seems to have cured my pitting CTD Yeh, I did about an hours practice in the Ferrari on Saturday & just managed to get in the 1.26s. Another hour last night & I got a best of 1.23.2! Got most of the track nailed now, just need to get those last two fast rights sorted, still keep going off there every other lap

Just a reminder that this is a rolling start with formation lap this evening. Procedure will be the same as for our usual GTR2 events, if you're not familiar the details they can be read here.... https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=3349.msg54455#msg54455

Sigh, messed up big time. Lost it out of the chicane on the kerbs, and spun into the wall, wing gone, was stuck in the middle of the track in everyone's way, so booted it towards the grass, unfortunately right into the path of Navin, really sorry, seemed like forward was the best thing to do at time.... Pitted, came out, chased and caught Nav, and lost it somewhere else on kerbs or bumps, and took off the front left wheel and wing this time attempted to hobble round for repairs but was likely to be a danger to other road users so quit.

Great race, Loved it! Sorry for the incident, GT, Matt and anyone else that was involved I took a drive through penalty and then another later in the race when I had a bit of a lead. I had no damage and I hope you guys did not either. I had already selected the pit in option thinking I had lost my front wing and then noticed I still had it after a couple of corners. Nice (but short) fights with TT, GT and a few others. Looking forward to the next one.

More fun than I could poke a stick at! Going into qually, I was still a bit unsure of which way which corner went... then it just clicked. Ade mentioned about soft tyres making a difference & I was off. A very rare pole for me. The track just suddenly felt great, having been quite tough to learn for me. Zoomed off at the start with only Ade able to keep up. We were well matched & think we'd have had a start to finish race.... if he hadn't missed his brake point & mullered my car Limped round to the pits & decided to have a change of stratagy, moving to hard tyres & hope I could last the race, as coming out the pits I was about a lap & a half down to the leaders already . Very much enjoyed the thrill of the drive though & was on for a lucky podium till I made a mistake & put myself in another wall. So pitted for full repairs & fresh soft tyres with only three laps to go in an attempt to get steal the lap record off of Ade p.s. Really enjoyed the early part of the race, feet away from Ade for about 8 laps we managed on this tricky track.

That was so full on. I think I'm going to have to invest in a beer hat as there's no time to scratch your nose let alone take a quick sip during these races. Qualied 3rd with a pb but was outgunned by Ade and Legzy on pole a full second ahead of the rest of us I was hoping my consistent race pace would pay back, but I got out of shape leading up to the chicane and was closed down at the next haipin by Matt and H@L which led to a bit of a tangle. No problem btw H....these kind of incidents just seem easier to accept at these speeds and I know we'll all adjust as we get used to it. Must have been some action up ahead, as I soon found myself in 2nd and chasing down TT as his tyres began to go off. I followed for a couple of laps but made a silly mistake and did a 360 to let a fast closing H@L through. My tyres were degrading at about 1 per lap and on lap 20 I decided to pit as I was struggling to maintain pace through the fast corners, which seem to be the strength of the Benetton. Unfortunately in the middle of the stop I had the dreaded connection lost pop up and I was out Looking at the lap times, cough I think there might be a bit of an imbalance emerging as we get familiar with these cars. I think the Arrows is fair enough because it's such an animal and it suffers with tyres, but anyone quicker than a 1:23 race pace tonight should have a look at other cars Anyway, congrats to H@L for the win and ta for all taking part. Please report any problems with the track/mod....don't think my disco was anything extraordinary. Oh and I think the rolling start worked very well tonight and I think we ought to keep this in. Also I'm running reduced damage on the server as it seems pointless having drivers lose front wings for light contact. Next week we kick off an 8 week championship, so we all need to choose a car carefully for this. I'll put up details and a car/driver sign up post in the next day or so, so please get your choices sorted asap.

That was a fun race even if the track wasn't my cup of tea. Too flat and too many slow corners. The race went well enough at the beginning but I never heard a "GO" call or a definitive "green" on screen so I hope that's just a track thing. I just went when I saw the front guys cross the starting line. Was very impressed that we all got through the first turns and lap without incident. I was quickly left behind by most with my Minardi so I just tried to not screw up. Then Matt was able to get by and distance himself from me as well. And hey, no problem Matt. Those things happen. I usually try to dive out of the way by going around the backside but there was so much smoke I couldn't see which direction you were till it was too late. Anyways, I then had to pit for a new wing and some more fixes. I was pretty much out of it for dicing with anyone else after that so I tried to get to the end. Unfortunately I messed up again and had to pit for some more repairs . Put on soft tires for the last few laps and drove on to the end . I noticed too that others have gotten up to speed with these cars so I think I'll go back to the Lotus for the next race so to have some chance to be up front. Also, a request of please let there be Spa and Monaco in the 8 race series.. Just wouldn't be F-1 without those tracks. But whatever you choose GT I'll be there Enjoying these cars a lot. Cheers and thanks for putting these together.

Went out on a first lap. Was lucky I didn't damage the car and was driving much slower from then on. One thing surprised me a bit, I went to pit and the crew insisted I turn off the engine, then added 0 l of fuel. Strange. Setup was set to pit and change tyres only. Well, considering H@l's pace in the late stage of the race a proper strategy implementation wouldn't mean anything. Must say it's one of the most demanding tracks ever. Narrow and winding. Demanding full attention the whole time. Probably GT racing would be a bit easier as this seemed like a fast forwarded action. I don't think I have the motivation to try and test another car so I'll probably stick with Arrows in the season.

Unsure what to do with the cars. I like the red car, 1: because it's red , and 2: Because it has a "DIGITAL" sponsor sticker on it (I used to work for them centuries ago) I found the Lotus kindest to drive, but I am slow in it. What would you siggest GT? I got a 22.4 in the race, and may have gone quicker,l but so far mt race finishes are not great even when I do finish as the tyre wear usually bites. Happy to try something else, just not sure what to go for that is a "bit" slower than Ferri?

just need to get those last two fast rights sorted, still keep going off there every other lap Never did get those two corners sorted! Went off there about the 3rd lap & was fortunate to be able to go straight into the pits for repairs (got an S/G for speeding though). Then went off there again on lap 15 & bent the suspension. This time it was a glancing blow off the barriers & I had passed the pit entrance before I realised the suspension was bent & the car wouldn't go straight at much over walking pace. . So called it a day rather than spend 10 minutes trying to reach the pits. I think I must have spent too much time driving understeering GTL & P&G cars, because I cannot get my head around how sharp these cars turn in & consequently keep running over the kerbs on the inside of corners. Not too much worry on the slow corners, but a big problem in the fast turns. I guess I just need a lot more practice! Congrats to the podium

Had fun there...sorry for the hit Legzy think i gave you a shout before i even got to you when i knew i had got it all wrong nothing i tried changed the trajectory of my car saw you had lost your rear wing so thought my front end was going to be in the same shape so pitted for repairs, very surprised to have now damage what so ever (very strange) got a stop go for speeding in the pits so came in again. Had a go with softs this week and i think that will be the way to go with the Arrows with a pit stop at the half way point. If it wasn't for the mess up hitting Legzy it would have worked quite well me thinks ( will do a bit of testing ) Cheers Ade PS..Ill stick with the Arrows please....It will be tamed
