Hmm, The previous event had different cars, Lelero won in an L88 roadster and the silver vette is not included here either Gimme some times please? the Pork could go, i just put it in for a bit of variety for those who don#t want Yank Tanks The Jags also, thoiugh they are slower, the Panty Stock was not as fast as the Falcon for e.g I could add the 289 Cobras I suppose. I will sort it later today.

I've been testing using the shortcut, which I'm afraid makes my times irrelevant I have found however that there are some cars that are a bit quicker than others and might be worth restricting/discouraging their use for faster types.... GT50R #020 Hane, #180 Brown Bros Mustang ATCC #001 Total Vette C2 Z06 #05 George Robertson Jr I still say the Porsche is too quick unfortunately :'(

Thanks Tudor. I found the white RObertson vette to be slightly slower for me than the Falcon Weslake, the L72 roadster was a bit slower the ATCC no 1 was about the same pace for me, I will have another go in it, the CASC is very quick and for me fitted nicely with the ATCC and the Falcon. The non lightweight Jags were quite a bit slower, but may be a winner over the distance with shorter stops. The 250 similar sort of thing. The 275s and lightweight jags were were way too fast. I will remove the 911 and test the 289 Cobras.

Ok. Final car adjustment:
Removed: Falcon Weslake, Porche 911 2.5 Added : Cobra 289 roadster only.
The Falcon Weslake is just that bit too fast, the MANN is fast enough. The ATCC 01 is identical times for me to the CASC. THe Falcon MANN is a few tenths behind them. The C2 L76 coupe is around the same pace, the Z06 is nearly a second slower and the Panty Stock is 3 seconds slower but needs less fuel and is kinder on tyres. The Jags also use less fuel and less tyres. The 911 is too fast in other people's hands, the Cobra 289 roadster is for me similar pace to the C2 Z06 but is an easier drive.
Remember we are using the hairpin at the end of the straight, NOT the shortcut just after the bridge.

I'm sure this will earn me the prize for the most stupid question ever asked on this board, but: how do I find the track? My car is somewhere in the paddock but I can't get on track, I don't know where it is and I get disqualified for driving the wrong way around. Can't even find the bloody pitlane! EDIT: found it, in case anybody else has the problem, aim for the gap between the end of the pit stalls and the two green portaloos, right towards the end of the pitlane!

Now that I have found the circuit the Cobra is the fastest car for me by a country mile. It's true that I don't get on with the tanks though. Also, do all the cars need two stops for fuel? Just to be sure, I've never done an endurance event before.

I have to complete fuel testing yet. If all cars need two stops that's fine. if only one does I may adjust the race length like I did last time. The Cobra, even the roadster, is a good car for this sort of thing, for me it is a second slower than the big muscle, but may be better over the distance. As mentioned, the exit from paddock is to the left of the big red and white tent next to the two green portaloos, There is a big hole to nirvana if you take the wrong shortcut

What sort of laptime should we be aiming at? I tried the Cobra Roadster for a few laps & got into the 2.34s quite easily with basically default setup. Is this too fast? If one of the Corvettes is capable of 2.32s, I guess that 2.34s is OK. Haven't got time to try out many cars so I usually pick one & stick to it.

There is a big hole to nirvana if you take the wrong shortcut Found that too! As to laptimes, I could do a 2:35 in the Cobra (default setup with a full load of fuel) but I am way off that in all the other cars. The setup screen says that all the cars will do between 9 and 11 laps per tank, so probably none will get through on two stops.

My times are much slower. I was aiming for > 2:40 I was getting low/mid 2:40 for ATCC (no 01), CASC, White Robertson Vette. 2:41 for Cobra and the other GT350s and the vette roadster. 2:42 for Jags, a bit slower for Ferri.
I think the Cobra could be a good car for this, some others are a bit faster but may be harder on tyres, depends how good people are at coping with worn/hot tyres.
I will do some fuel testing tonight, if all cars need to stop at least once with normal fuel use then I may set it to that, of all need 2 stops then I may leave it as is. The in game 11 laps doesn't usually agree with XD which is what I use to decide race length.

I always ignore the in-game fuel estimates. XD provides accurate fuel information.

Can't remember exactly, but I think the Cobra will do about 14 laps on a tankful.

Agreed. XD is very useful for this and also for providing real time tyre wear data. In game figures are a waste of time. In my testing I've not seen any car which will require more than one stop for fuel. Never liked E Types, so looks like I'll be having to get my head round driving the tanks for this one.
