Ahem, Lasse it is actually Pukekohe And it's still BST!
Should be fixed now. My apologies. Using txt templates about an hour after your last call to bed is not that good idea. (somehow my brains had decided that winter time is BST and summer time is GMT... No freaking idea how that kind of mix up was created.) server stats are broken momentarily, as I had to import the championship results again to get some missing data to database and I ran out of time fixing it. It will be corrected as soon as I am done with the next revision of the site and importer. (which will hopefully include results archive with download options for race logs and replays.) And oh... NG Legacy HTC Server is now online with practice password.EDIT: Now also race topic title fixed.

NG Legacy HTC Server is now online with race password. Also, Server stats has now new version and valid data. Not only the best lap times has all the lap times since January 2021, but also it automatically scans laps ran in Practice mode and adds them to the database as well. So you can see already some of the times ran on Pukekohe. Also, Results archive has been introduced. It is still beta version and official results are seen here, but it allows to SpecialKS and Tony download race log files and replay files easily after each event. http://gtlserver.lintu.dyndns.org/

There was still small problems with new qualifying format as one driver did not realize that his qualify was over when he last time hit the track (Under 2000cc cars had been told to return pits already.) And I did think about possible penalties, but as this was first time in new format and he did not gain anything nor did not disturbed anyone during his mishap, I decided to let it go this time.
Now everyone has been warned.

Another amazing chase and battle with Daz.
I was very fast on the qualifying which was surprise for me because i had just 10-20 laps of test before the Q. But i started to be very fast from the beginning because the track was easy to remember and the car suited my style very well.
At the start, even though i reacted faster, Daz show me the BMW power and took the lead. The next two laps were not good enough for me, but laps 3 and 4 were great. I had the abillity to start braking a lot later and i show m self to Daz which reacted to a small error from him. On the final chicane we battled and i had more grip and took the lead.
After that until the end the gap was always between 1 to 2.5 seconds. We drove like twins and to one made serious mistake.
At the finish line i was very happy about the victory and the way i won the race. I had the feeling that we had a real battle and a real chase and this was great.
Grats to Daz and Manfred who won the lower class and had amazing pace with Alfa.

I don't know about the other cars Kurt, but the Capri was wonderful in this circuit. So much joy to drive and had one big advantage - a lot later start of braking.

Yes, Capri seemed quick here, I've not tried it myself but the pace Dimitar had was just a little too much all the time for me in the BMW. Chances are that my setup wasn't great as I only had last night in the car, all my practise was done in the Escort but I changed my mind about driving that one, wanted to get the BM out of the way on a simple track.... As Dimitar said, I got away into turn 1 ahead, and for the first couple of laps it seemed it was more even than quali had suggested, but then he found the pace to come past. The BMW was just too heavy at that point to hold him back. I did try to stay in contact for as long as possible, and at one point in the race after half distance was maybe a little quicker for a few laps, but I ran wide and lost a 1.5 seconds or so, and no longer had any slipstream to help and that was the end of the chance to close up. As said in chat, I had my first covid jab yesterday morning, and my arm was surprisingly sore when driving. Could have done with a few more left handers as they were much easier Grats DD and Manfred for the wins, and all who saw the flag at the end.

...and all who saw the flag at the end.
...Which included members of Hans Laine Memorial Racing Team. Mike had computer overheating troubles so he could not make to the grid, but Suti was faster of two of us, but what I quoted from Daz9, is almost all to write about this race for our team. I had pretty good runs during my practice and Capri felt good for this track. However in lap 1, turn 3 everything went south. I spinned first time there. That was followed by 7 more spins and one crash which took the Capri for a spin around in all imaginable directions. That called for a pit stop of 130 seconds where my pit crew probably rebuilt the whole car. When returning the track I had no clue how many laps I was behind the next guy and even less clue about the leader and so also how many laps I had left this struggle of survival. Eventually I did saw checkered flag. Somehow felt like a winner of my very own class of destruction after the race though. Hopefully those points collected from 6th in class make difference in the end of the season. There's no race in next week it seems. I did not remember that there is 2 empty Mondays before the summer break after all. see you in Melbourne week after that.
