I just tried the 997....definately felt that wandering on the straight...very strange Huh Yeah i noticed this, when i was going down towards the Double apex right at the end of the straight where the track bares to the left before you brake, i was turning right as if the car was over steering but it wasnt , really weird feeling...must before the weight distribution . Good race.. got the car feeling really good with a few hours messing with settings. Tyres were still brand new at the end.

I just tried the 997....definately felt that wandering on the straight...very strange ....however I only did 5 or 6 laps with default setup (wet tyres though lol) and did 1:32:9....same as I have done in the 360....so it isn't particularly slow due to it. was that offline and in qual setup ? Makes a big difference to online. I was doing 1:31's in qual mode and 1:32s and 33s race setup on the srouk server earlier today and finally felt that i had got a decent wet setup together for the 997. I am more worried about the rear tyre wear now (unless this track is particularly hard on the rears..which i think it is) as having both rears on 20+ wear was like driving on sheet ice in last half of race. Good race.. got the car feeling really good with a few hours messing with settings. Tyres were still brand new at the end.
Please pray tell how you managed that? I had absolutely no problem with the 'wandering feel' here. Didnt notice it anywhere so am pretty sure setup sorts it. I had -50 front toe, +40 rear toe. Try it for yourself. I found the default setup emphasises the wandering for some reason.

Rubbish! I'm hoping I learn how to drive in the wet again fairly soon. This is embarrassing

It says there may be a problem with file "nv4_disp" and then there was this line:
*** STOP: 0x000000EA (0x86DE07A0, 0x86E22F60, 0xF79D7CB4, 0x00000001)
Nvidia display driver crash, you must be running XP or 2000 to get a blue screen. Try installing latest official drivers for your graphics card, or if you have already, uninstalling them, rebooting and then installing them again. Have you recently changed your graphics card or any components in your system?

Thanks for answering Simon Yes, I changed my rubbish graphics card for a better one (8600GT) like 6 months ago and since then I've had this problem several times, maybe around 15 times. I'm running XP btw Another guy also suggested me to uninstall my drivers, then eliminate a file called nvdisps.dll and install latest official drivers, and I did this last Sunday night, thats 2 days ago. Is there any difference to what you are suggesting me to do? I don't know what "rebooting" exactly means

For some reason this race was a lot harder for me than 80 min at Spa. It was a storm at Spa but for some reason the car was a lot easier to control there than at Hockenheim. Qualified 4th, was about one sec slower than my pb while testing. Race was ok-ish, was mostly careful not to go off, so the others could. All did, except Dan, he was unreachable. Great stuff, Dan, very stable. Last 10,15 minutes were hectic. I was getting slower, Jan was getting faster - seems like Seat is quite good in the wet. Two more laps and he would pass, I don't think I could hold him back. I had hards, while Jan said he had softs. Mine were towards 12 front, so if I had softs it would be even worse. Tough race. Will be even harder with new GT1s - in the wet they're all Too bad you didn't start counting points towards he mini Championship from Dubai on, DG. TT

I think the wet suits me,second at Spa in F430,now third at Hockenheim in the Seat ( well 4th if Busi did not get his CTD) Was driving on softwets and they felt fine the whole race.Did not look at the wear cause when i do that i normally get anxious and make mistakes, twas fun to close in on a (semi|)-alien like TT. Maybe the Toledo will be my car for next season, anyone has a nice skin for me? Next races will be GT1 so i move over to the backfield again Jan

great job Jan...your obviously a rain-meister on the quiet Thats what i like about having more real world weather in all our race series, it mixes up the field, throws in some variables and just adds to the racing experience imo. Not tried any GT1s in the wet yet To Pseudo, if you did a 1:32.9 straight off with default setup and race fuel online in the 997 then i must just suck in the wet in it, because it took me a fair while and lots of tweaking to get into the 32's. Though must admit before this new pre-season racing came along i think i could count my wet racing experience on one hand if i cut three fingers off

If it was Nvidia then what is your PSU as it may be that it just doesn't have enough juice.

Yes I had an nVIDIA graphics card before the new one. A GeForce 6100 lol Now where do I have to go to see the PSU? I have zero idea on this

The 8600GT is pretty low on power consumption, I have 2 of them SLId up with a AMD 6000+ running solidly on a 450W power supply. I doubt the 8600 is using that much more (20W?) than the 6100.
You'd need to open up the case and have a look at any labels on the PSU to see what wattage it is.
They're a bit choosey on drivers, the 8600GTs. I know, I dl'd the latest NVIDIA drivers 6 months back and my system instantly crashed, loads of fiddling around and I found the drivers worked with one of the cards but crashed on the other, which is identical spec but different manufacturer with different BIOS.
I'm running the 178.24 drivers Busi, no problems at all, try them if you aren't already using them.

Looks like your GeForce 6100 is on the motherboard? Is it disabled? If it is and it's not disabled I would disable it in your BIOS.
You might not need to open your PC to look at the PSU, as it might say on the back if that's exposed. Have a look anyway.
