Too many Mercs in the first race, so I'm changing to the Mustang for the remainder.. Should be fun.

Rusty or what! First time in RRE since August last year! I saw the warnings about controllers etc. but I guess I didn't successfully do whatever I was meant to, the steering was waaaay to sensitive. Even dialing the steering rack from 16 down to 10 seemed to make no difference. That made it extremely hard to catch a tank slapper as all I did was over correct all the time Then I ran out of fuel, didn't even occur to me to check Still it was nice to be able to get in the race seat and give it a go again. Think I need to spend sometime trying to get the controller settings sorted out before I do another event. New car setup screen looks interesting, need to look at that in more detail not that I have clue when it comes to changing settings to make me go faster Had to go make some controller buttons for Ignition and Starter, the game used to do this for me before is this always manual now?

I don't have anything mapped for ignition an starter, or at least if I have I've never used them

Welcome back Pete, good to see you back on track.
My settings sometimes get messed up after game updates, and the December update was a biggie. Maybe it messed up your button assignments or clutch settings, preventing you from starting? And probably also why your steering sensitivity was off. Anyway, as you probably know, best advice is to throw away any settings you had from before and start everything over from scratch - new clean hardware profile (there are new defaults for most wheels), and remap all your axes and buttons. Then throw away your car setups, and start a new default there too. Hopefully that will sort it.
As for the race, sorry about the start. Still getting used to the wheel and I stupidly had the stop button engaged, meaning I had no steering at the start! Almost a disaster as I slewed across the track, but I think everyone avoided me; hope no damage done. Great fun after that however, really enjoyed it as usual. Congrats John for the win.

I ran out of fuel on the run down to the last lap despite doing 30 minutes practice OK! I think with more laps practice I drove harder as I definitely had more brake wear and therefore used more fuel. Must make a larger extra fuel allowance in future.

I allowed for 18 laps, which was more than I expected we would do, but I had the low fuel warning on the last lap so need to make sure we have enough in future

Ok Riccardo, you seemed desperate not to lose the place. Was my own fault that I spun out after you pushed me wide, keen to continue the battle, I got a bit overzealous on the throttle & lost control. Had another spin a lap later & dropped to 5th behind Alessandro. Good race up until then. Congrats to John, Frex & Riccardo on the podium.

After the "strange start" i tryed to manage the 3 position behind riccardo, fast as usual. The car is not as i like, because during the training, i forgot to save the definitive set . So i can't do my best during the race, but at the end I enjoyed Myself. Grats podium.
