This race will be a rolling start following a formation lap and the procedure is as follows:

*It will be the pole sitter's responsibility to complete the first lap at a pace that allows the rest of the grid to follow comfortably
*There should be no overtaking or hard accelerating/braking
*Drivers should avoid getting too far behind or too close to the driver in front
*Approximately 20 seconds before crossing the start line the pole sitter should slow down to a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*Each following driver shall close up directly behind the driver in front also maintaining a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*The pole sitter should maintain that speed until they cross the start line and then accelerate away to start the race (lap2)
*Each following driver should only accelerate when the driver directly ahead does (they do not have to wait until crossing the start line)
*No overtaking is allowed before crossing the start line at the completion of the formation lap

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules (https://www.simracing.org.uk/index.php?pid=7) especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the Euro and American Track Packs for this series (And maybe another non pack track occasionally)
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

A track I have not raced in years, needs my attention, quite technical, especially around that looong right hander, But I will definitely give this one some practice

Theres something wrong here, I'm getting an invalid lap due to cutting after the first left-right and then heading down to the next section, every lap. It is the first, tighter 'chicane'  we drive isnt it? there are clearly other first corner combos but they all look barried off!

You're going the wrong way  ::) Don't take the first chicane, go straight past it and take the much faster left/right.......then turn right at the Dog and Duck  ;)

Ah, I see you found it.....

Yes had to drive slowly through it at first. Track ma clearly shows it being a more drawn out chicane.

Every race i think i've seen or driven has used the tighter version. It does make this config a bit too quick!

Just the 3.5secs off the professional driver ::)

Managed to get a nice compromise between fast on straights without being too bad in the corners although things were getting a bit twitchy in the last 10 minutes. Good pressure from Eck which made sure I was kept on my toes throughout.

Not sure what happened to Anty, I saw you leaving and rejoining a few times and checked the forum for messages in case you were having difficulties. In any case, not all lost because only the best 5 scores count from the 6 races in this series.

Shame about the poor turnout but hopefully that's a summer/holidays thing and we'll see a few more return in the coming weeks.

I don't think i'll drive the Porsche again! In practise it wasn't too bad as I start slow and build up but the pressure of the race and I end up pushing too hard too early and the car is hard work as it is, let alone on cold tyres. It wanders a bit at high speed so the first few corners and the corner at the end of the back straight were a nightmare especialy coming off the throttle upsets the car too much!

After losing the car for the umpteenth time decided it was time to leave.
