Catalogue of woes tonight from us all it seems...my PC locked solid and it took me ages to close GTR2, I'm really sorry if my car was stuck on track and spoilt anyone's race, usually a screen freeze unfreezes a few seconds later so I waited a bit hoping to carry on from wherever the car was. Shame, first UKGTR race in ages I've actually felt able to drive the car and keep it on the track. Bet you were waiting for my inevitable spin, Dave. I might not actually have done it tonight. After a slow start was getting comfortable and starting to close down MJ. Such is life. Roll on next week.

dammit, internet/game problems here too..i think. Was enjoying my race, running in 8th whole time until 1 slip at mid race allowed DG past me. Fended off a couple of challenges by Evert and had a good several second lead over following pack but then started to get massive stutters and judders/low fps. I just couldnt even make out the kerbs or corner lines and started going off left right and centre. Saw a couple of cars approaching and just had to pull off and quit. Bloody annoying. This is the second race in a row. I checked my ISP and noise levels and nothing wrong my end. Im wondering if again someones got the FIA mod pack version of srouk running ? as was noticing these stutters throughout the sessions, except milder. Any ideas? grrr.

Not a good one for me again. I realised again that I simply can't drive the 575. It seemed to be nice the first few tracks, but since then I can barely get it to go around corners.
After a little practice I knew I was in trouble for tonight.
Qualified 4th.
The start of the race I thought I was a good bit quicker than Gazza and Reignman but could not get passed. As their tyres came up to heat they were quicker than me.
I had a few goes at Gazza and a few at Reignman but none I could safely pull off. I could not make use of the slipstream as I could not take the last two corners. I must have lost a minimum 0.5 second and was too far behind come the straight.
I tried and tried to get somewhere but always knew SBG were close behind. Last lap 2 bends to go I had a wobble and SBG shot passed.
There was some nice racing tonight with Gazza, Reignman and SBG.
Grats Busi on the win and Gazza and Reignman on podium.

I love this track, but having only played iRacing for the past 2-3 weeks it was quite a challenge driving GTR2 again. Car felt sooo alien that I opted to use a Gregor Huttu setup which also felt very alien (but in a different way) . At least the car sort of felt like it would vaguely contemplate going round a corner which it didn't before. Took me about 36 minutes of the 40 minute race to remember how to drive GTR2 , at which point I put my fastest lap in and wished I hadn't used GH's setup as it was so difficult to put the power down. I think I might have to actually try GTR2 before the next race otherwise it's just not going to work again and I won't enjoy it very much. This game is just so alien now. Think I finished 9th in the end, mostly from other people's mistakes or misfortunes.

Tough stuff that Spent the whole race worrying about TT and Zak hovering in the background whilst trying to hang onto Brian up front. Finally, after 30 minutes , I managed to gap Zak a little and concentrated solely on catching Brian who was being held up a tad by a defensive RM whose tyres were shot. About equal in pace with them and quicker in final turn, especially the exit, but they managed to pull a gap through that ruddy chicane every time so passing was never an option. Getting frustrated and just about settling for fifth when Brian made a slip through the chicane (serves you right for being so fast there ) and I slipped through. Top stuff, as usual, with TT, Brian, RM and Zak (welcome aboard ). Congrats to Busi and Gazza. Also worth mentioning that it was a nice mix of makes through the field. Nice work DM

Looks like psuedo not racing brought some good luck to pseudo team LOL Perfect race for me, no doubt my earlier practice helped. Great pole lap and I started on medium tyres which were very fast at the beginning of the 40 minute stint. After 5 laps I'd put 8 seconds on Reign Man in 2nd, from then on I took it a bit easier and maintained a 10-second gap till the end of the race. Special mention to my scary moment finding Steve's frozen car at the final part of the final corner, went off but didn't lose more than 2 seconds Cheers everybody, Sunday's endurance will be great

looks like xp service pack 3 is the culprit for my problems For some reason i am now only getting max 25fps even offline and if i ride a kerb it drops to about 12fps It was fine offline last night, the stupid xp update happened about half hour before this eves race. any suggestions? Do i need to reinstall my nvidia drivers? (card is a 9800gtx).

Good race today guys, much enjoyed, Firstly Grazts to Busi on a good win. My qually was not as good as I'd of liked it to be. just couldn't get a clean lap together. every time I was up on my splits someone would join or leave the server and i'd pause briefly and mistime my braking point or something similar lol! - then I left it too late and just pushed too hard. Anwyay race pace went pretty well under he circumstances learning of this event from busi late last night..... I did my lil praccy sessions (such as they were) sessions in a lambo.. and decided to take the MC12 at last min.. maybe a mistake..maybe not. but I manged to keep up the sharp end tailing a few guys from the start.. pushing and pushing to not loose sight. Unfortunately for TT he span and I took his place. and although I could see him pushing behind me it was far too late in the race for his worn tires (guessing here?) - and he lost it on 2nd to last lap...unlucky mate. I saw you struggling with the S7 tonight. but you still managed good pace and were hard to follow Gratz to all finishers. bring on the sunday race now!

I saw you struggling with the S7 tonight. but you still managed good pace and were hard to follow You got it right, buddy. Worn tyres were my trouble last night. Even thought I could do something there as there was a train (RM, Kerr, sbg, TT, Zak) of us all in place for that 3rd place. Tyres started to go right after half, I was losing contact with sbg and Zak was close the whole time. My weak point was The chicane where I lost it three times. One recovery in time, one lost place to Zac who lost it on braking into T1 and I gained the place back and finaly I lost it the third time, Zac got through and I was unable to get the place back. I don't count the final half spin, that was just the cherry on a cake. Good driving there, buddy Zac, seems like we can have close racing without taking eachother out. Looking forward to future events. Seems like I had too much wing and was destroying tyres in the long last curve. Funny, on other places it seemed not enough. Difficult track to set the car but otherwise enjoyable to drive. Except The chicane. Too bad for Steve and MJ with their ISP problems. TT

It scared the herring out of me but luckily I was able to duck inside it and call it back to Shark and Prof on TeamSpeak. Bet you were waiting for my inevitable spin, Dave. I might not actually have done it tonight. I knew it was going to be hard with Listers ahead and behind - as expected, Evert slipped by early on, although it wasn't in the draft, it was my overestimation of your braking prowess in T1. Then I got back past and started to pull away a little; got past MJ after a mistake but thought he would close me down again and breeze past, so I was pushing perhaps a little too hard and mullered my left front, which meant that Shark was closing on me rather quickly at the end. Slowed down out of the last corner and we stage managed a formation finish.
