Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules (https://www.simracing.org.uk/index.php?pid=7) especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the Euro and American Track Packs for this series (And maybe another
non pack track occasionally)
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

I've now downloded everything I need for this, but as I'm a bit rusty could do with some ideas of a half decent laptime around here? I gone with the Audi with the stock setup applied as no one else seems to be using it, good choice?

Due to being a cheapskate I only bought one car so can't comment on how good the Audi is but I think the cars are reasonably close in performance.

No idea on a laptime I'm afraid until practice starts tomorrow - I prepare well for these races  ::)

Welcome back, long time since we did GTR/GTR2!

Hey Picnic, yeah been a LONG time since GTR2 days. But I'm liking my first impressions of RRE, my new PC is helping, as I can max everything out on my 43" TV for the first time...looks mega!!! I plan to race the same way I did before...hang around at the back, try not to get in the way, pray I don't crash!

Not done any laps in these cars yet, but you can check the leaderboard times for these cars within the game.

2:07's seem to be the fastest out there, I'm 5 secs off that!

Following slightly faster ghosts around in leaderboard mode is usually a good method for bringing down those lap times.

Hi Stu, welcome back, Geoffers and Glen's times would be up at the fast end. Mine would be the other end  ::) If you can get within a few seconds of the top leaderboard times
then you are in with a shout  :thumbup1:

Ran a few laps this afternoon, times in the mid 2.09s.

I’m in the low 2:11’s with the stock setup, not had time to tweak anything. Should be a giggle tomorrow night????

Really enjoyed that, cheers chaps. Race ones mistakes were all of my own doing, race rusty I think. Took a fairly hefty punt in the rear at turn one of the 2nd race putting me deep into the gravel, which is as a shame as I’d made a great start, but these things happen. Looking forward to getting back into more racing, might even get AC when the sales hit. Cheers guys.

Hi Stu and welcome back, was great to race with you!

I spent most of practice and qualifying going back and forth on setup but couldn't match Geoff's pace, in the end I didn't stray far from the default setup.

In both races Geoff had more pace early on but the races seemed to come back to me. We had a great battle swapping places on a number of occasions and it was clean (aside from the smallest tap into the hairpin in the second sector in race 1 - sorry for that). After I managed to make the lead stick Geoff kept the pressure on until he disappeared from my mirror, not sure what happened.

In race 2 I benefitted from a number of cars going wide at turn 1, I'd purposely stayed wide and cut back tight on exit to sneak into 3rd. Another great battle with Geoff, I'm not sure if the Honda was looking after its tyres better?

Well done Pete on a couple of strong podiums and Geoff and Frex!

I quite enjoy racing these as there seem to be some close battles a lot of the time. However I wouldn't call my results strong, I was consistent but several had quicker pace and with consistency should have beaten me. I was certainly helped in the second race when Frex made a very uncharacteristic mistake.

Great to have Stew back and to catch up a bit on TeamSpeak last night  ;D

Yes, I got confused with the brake marker boards, braked at the wrong one and steamed in to the hairpin way too fast. Very sorry Matt for ruining your second race there. Apart from that it was actually lots of fun. Congrats Glenn for the wins, and welcome (back) Stew.

Excellent racing as usual for TCRs. Race 1, I forgot how to work the launch control and spun my wheels but had a good start anyway despite some contact with Stew. Then he went wide at T1 and I had to lift because my exit was compromised, and Pete got past. Stew kept catching me all race and finally was within striking distance on the last lap, and made his move a couple of corners before the end. I couldn't block him nor take it back before the end.

Race 2, I got a good start and ended up in P4 chasing Mark with Pete on my heels. We had a good back and forth with some door banging for several laps until I made a move into turn 3 and took P3. Around lap 6, Pete finally got past me as I was having trouble keeping up on the straights (are you meant to run negative wing here?) so no podium for me this time.

This circuit is pretty wide with several hard braking zones so plenty of overtaking opportunities, just stay out of the sand pits as they are brutal  ;).

Tell me about it spent most of last night in the sand pits  :o particularly in the race! One of those nights where I just couldn’t put the car on the line or brake early enough, a right tragedy of errors.  :-\

Good racing, just could not keep up the pace to challenge Glenn.

I was another one who swapped setups, had done some practice with the previous setup I had used then last night tried the default setup & was just as quick with it, so all the changes I had made previously had done nothing ::).

First race, got the lead at the start but could not shake off the attentions of Glenn & when I ran wide at T2 Glenn went past. Hoped to hold on & give him a race but a couple of laps later I ran just fractionally wide at T2 again but on this occasion the car turned sharp right & sent me into the barriers. It very nearly ended my race as there was only a tiny fraction of engine health left, but is was enough to get me too the finish at a greatly reduced pace.

Got a good start in the second race from row 2 & took the lead again. Hoped to build a gap before Glenn could work his way to the front but he was already up to 2nd on the first lap & quickly caught up. After 2 or 3 laps Glenn got a better run out of T1 & got alongside into T2, I could have shut the door but decided to let him pass & try to hassle him into a mistake. It didn't work though & I gradually slipped further & further behind as the front tyres started to lose grip & had to settle for 2nd.

Congrats to Glenn on two more well deserved wins & to Pete & Frex on their podiums.

Unlikely to be able to challenge Glenn much more in this series, I am rubbish in these cars at both Hungaroring & Imola.

Sorry, was not concentrated enough in the second start.

Braked too early, again some throttle and off course i missed then the corner.

Sorry
