Hahaha, there's always one. Oh, and it's always Legzy. When you're ready...be a good Oldie and pop those results back the way they should be
Wooohooo green ones, we did it - for the first time Team Prodigy wrap up the drivers and team GTL championship. Seems like a looooong time ago we had that almighty battle at Lakeside to kick the season off. I think this grin could last a little while....amazing team effort chaps.
My first time racing at Monaco on SROU which seems crazy but other commitments meant I've always missed it in the past. Absolutely love it around here and I was hopeful for a good result if I could just keep up the concentration. Had a moment of panic off the grid where Jim seriously dusted me off the line but thankfully he overcooked it a fraction into T1 and that just about gave me the run up the hill.
I got very lucky with backmarkers in that I didn't see any (aside from Alex who added a little spice to my final lap
) and so it was basically a case of learning from Melbourne, completely ignoring the mirror and gap times and focusing only on my own pace....honestly didn't believe I'd cross that line in one piece, I was sure one of those awkwardly shaped barriers was going to just catch me out but praise the GTL gods, I made it!!
Hard luck Jim and Ade, been a brilliant little battle we've had going, I've just loved being in the mix with you boys fighting for the prize - really has been fun trying to deal with the pressure over the course of the season (of a computer game
) and that's mainly down to you guys.
Gutting to see Dyno wasn't able to start and a nightmare for Spanner after a good opener but well done PR for a strong result and grats Simon/ Jim on the podium spots.
It's not over yet obviously, Mugello next and I think the Plymouth is a calling
When do you start with your flying lessons?
Shouldn't be long now, a 747's the natural progression for anyone who can master five gears
This is your Captain speaking....yes it's got a nice ring to it hahaha.
P.s - what happened Dan, you were on the pace within about three laps weren't ya!?
