Hi guys i've just tested offline and is it possible to release a patch for the Aston as it gets suspension damage that takes 95 seconds to fix in the pits from even the smallest collisions. I glanced the wall at 50mph, it gave me 5 secs aero damage but the above suspension damage. Then i tried the exact same thing in other cars and they only got aero damage, no suspension damage at all. The thing is although the damage takes ages to fix the car drives like it has no damage at all and also looks like it has none. Anything that can be done to fix this as it is an obvious problem and cost team Supersonic lots of points last night - Nsfast had the same issue as me and lost lots of time in the pits for no good reason.

If the car is driving fine, could you not just select to not repair the damage? (or stop lightly brushing walls? ) Is there some patch ready to go that will fix this Jay?

If the car is driving fine, could you not just select to not repair the damage? Indeed - you should always check the pit board even if you think you've got the stop set up with XD - 2 seconds to eyeball it can save huge embarrassment later...

I suppose i will have to do that and select not to repair damage as i don't know of any patch. But im sure it didn't do it last season as i hit some things at Imola before my stop and had no problems

I've had the Aston suspension problem in my last two league races for incidents which I would normally expect just aero damage. The first time was at Imola last season when it didn't seem to impact performance too much so I opted not to repair it when I pitted. Although I still think my laptimes suffered. The second time was last night when it had a major effect on the handling so I had to have it repaired. Sounds like it maybe a weakness with the Aston that we have to live with.

Weird...I've only raced the Aston once or twice though. Maybe its somehting to look into for the next physics pack?
I tend to use the stock cars.....not sure but I might do the odd race this season. Been really busy the last couple of days with car stuff so I don't think I'll be around for the championship.

Odds on it being an Oldie title this season have just been slashed at the bookies We just need our new 'special one' to turn up for the next one

Unless someone knows of a patch for it, or understands how the damage and/or suspension models work, there's not a lot we can do.

After a few car test....I like GTR2 again. Congrats for the physics, skins work and for the new cars added. Superb! My question is, can I join you on Sunday for Brno's race? Cheers.

Looking forward to seeing you there. Since it is a while since you raced GTR2 it's probably worth a quick review of the rules e.g. rolling start, chat, pit stop requirements etc. Hope you enjoy the races this season.
