Don't know exactely what happened at the formation lap I followed the car in fron of me at a reasonable distance and suddenly the field came to a halt Punctured a tyre in the last corner with about 20 minutes to go, had to limb back to the pits the entire lap. Got back on track, worked my way up to tenth, then blew up my engine in the first corner with only 8 minutes to go. That's about the stupidest thing I can think of you can do to end your own race

Think there was a diff. accident you were cought up in Mark, Luis's was def. at T1. Totally silly the number of accidents in the first couple of laps, and in quali too - if that quali session was moderated there'd be a lot of drivers with points against their name. Gonna check the replay before writing anything else fwiw my race was pretty uneventful!

I was up to 6th when I clipped the tyres at the first fast chicane lost the splitter and bonnet, a pitstop would surely have been needed and that would lose me too much time for a sprint race so I quit. Don't enjoy Enna particularly and TBH, I'm not enjoying racing at the moment either. I want to be more competitive but I don't have the practice time to get there, this brings out a lot of frustration and mistakes trying to go quicker. I'm > < this close to just quitting league racing altogether.

I spent the first ten minutes trying to keep up with Leuven but soon realised he was way too fast. So it looked good for second place - until my engine blew entering the back straight. First time its happened and strangely the engine temp showed only 84c Ah well, I had been screaming the thing for the early part of the race and still had good fun.

That was a real race of attrition. The race finished about 5 minutes early due to LEUVENS stonking pace, which was a relief as far as I was concerned. Good race for me. Took the Corvette as it's a bit more forgiving over the kerbs and qualified back in 13th. Had one off a few laps in when looking in my mirrors, luckily no where near the tyres. After that I was very consistant, never pushing too hard, and worked my way up to 6th as people retired or spun off. One of my better races, very pleased to finish. As always, race incidents to the moderators please, looks like they will be busy. Congratulations LEUVEN, and all finishers for surviving "The Tyres of Doom"

Damn guys, really sorry to hear about the troubles. I glanced back approaching the first chicane on the pace lap and saw a red Ferrari recieve a massive shunt up the back, sending it flipping. Had a horrible feeling it was Mark who's just had completely rotten luck despite really putting the effort in this season. It's time the guy had bit of luck :'( Did a new PB 1:32.4 in qually only to find that was god enough for about 9th... amazing pace in GT Sprint this year. The top 5 times or so had alien written all over them Tried really hard to concentrate (this time) but found myself thinking about work a couple of times and both reulted in a slide . Lost a couple of places that way but also made a few up in the race and finished 7th. Credit to Aagramn who, once I'd slid and was behind him, I was sure I was going to catch what with him in a Corvette and me in a rootin' tootin' 550. Couldn't keep up though and was slowly leaking 10ths /lap. In the end I decided discretion is the better part of Valour and all that and backed off to make sure I got through the chicane on the remaining laps OK.

It seems like blowing the engine doesn't have much to do with temp. My engine temp was something like 86 when it blew up. It just gives up because of the engine braking you are doing when downshifting. It's really easy to overrev it that way
