Title: Re: UKAC Season 1 GT3 - Monza - Sep 30 Post by: Mark J on September 25, 2015, 07:52:24 AM +0100 This class is good fun at Monza. :) Had a couple of good GT3 races here before, albeit elsewhere with fuller grids! Always tricky getting the braking, kerbs and chicanes right on a low downforce setup, but like the challenge.
Needs a sexy banner :-* (no doubt the two cars that dominate here in this class) (http://i1275.photobucket.com/albums/y444/MJ_p911/Monza_GT3_zpskiy12sot.jpg) (http://s1275.photobucket.com/user/MJ_p911/media/Monza_GT3_zpskiy12sot.jpg.html) Title: Re: UKAC Season 1 GT3 - Monza - Sep 30 Post by: Stefan aka Postal on September 25, 2015, 08:22:54 AM +0100 Nice! :)

Title: Re: UKAC Season 1 GT3 - Monza - Sep 30 Post by: Stefan aka Postal on September 29, 2015, 10:00:15 AM +0100 Did got around to installing the PLP v1.5, but yet have to turn a wheel at monza.. Hopefully tonight for a couple of practice laps. Will be running the trusty SLS again!
Title: Re: UKAC Season 1 GT3 - Monza - Sep 30 Post by: Mark J on September 29, 2015, 10:32:53 AM +0100 If the servers up I will be online for praccy about 6.30 to 7.30 this eve if anyone wants to join me :)
I'm hoping to hang onto my 5th place in the championship :) but have Spanner & Sutol within snapping distance. Top 4 are un-assailable :-[ Title: Re: UKAC Season 1 GT3 - Monza - Sep 30 Post by: Jester on September 29, 2015, 04:00:02 PM +0100 Please note, that with PLP v1.5 there is now a penalty for speeding in the pitlane. So make sure you check where you need to be on 50mph when entering the pitlane!!!

Perhaps Picnic better have a looksee. Could be there is something I've not done correctly?Title: Re: UKAC Season 1 GT3 - Monza - Sep 30 Post by: picnic on September 29, 2015, 10:57:39 PM +0100 I've just logged in to the server, AC was running and I just connected ok. Unless someone has stopped and restarted it it's been on Monza since yesterday.

Title: Re: UKAC Season 1 GT3 - Monza - Sep 30 Post by: Mark J on October 01, 2015, 07:33:28 AM +0100 Well, it was a bit of a letdown end to the series, only 5 of us turned up, don't know whether it's because the site went down last night but not like people didn't know the race was on beforehand. Another league I race with also only had 6 racers on Sunday so no idea why ACracing has fallen off the radars so fast. :'(
I think the gt3 series is great plus they are releasing two more gt3 cars in 1.3 and the Bentley is almost finished. Hey ho, we take a break from it now for a while and race other fun cars. Got pole (due to Erik and Lukas charity I think!) Then won the race :o :) Picnic kept me honest the whole race and Erik was closing me down fast especially when my tears dropped to 98% in last 3 laps but I just kept ahead to win. Had a very slippery car the whole race so don't know if the track temperature was too low but very low grip. Finished 5th in the series so reasonably happy with that as never been on same terms as front few. Title: Re: UKAC Season 1 GT3 - Monza - Sep 30 Post by: Stefan aka Postal on October 01, 2015, 08:00:39 AM +0100 yeah, sorry lads. Real life got in the way again. And i even had an hours worth of practice before, resulting in a very nice setup. Not got to use it in anger. Bring on the next series!
Title: Re: UKAC Season 1 GT3 - Monza - Sep 30 Post by: Sutol on October 01, 2015, 10:56:34 AM +0100 There were only 8 who raced regularly in this series. I know that 4 of the guys that I'm in touch with have been busy with house moves, holidays, weddings and stuff. Hopefully it will pick up in the next series.
For the first few laps I thought it was going to be good nipping at picnics tail pipes but then I lost it and then again when Erik came up behind and I started concentrating on him rather than the track. The remaining laps were very lonely! Also fastest lap was as a result of cutting the chicane and got no penalty. >:( Title: Re: UKAC Season 1 GT3 - Monza - Sep 30 Post by: picnic on October 01, 2015, 11:11:24 AM +0100 There were only 8 who raced regularly in this series. Total of 22 individuals entered the series, how exciting would it be if all attended one race. For the first few laps I thought it was going to be good nipping at picnics tail pipes but then I lost it Those first few laps were pretty intense with you being so much better on the brakes and me having a speed advantage down the straights. Good fun :)Also fastest lap was as a result of cutting the chicane and got no penalty. >:( I didn't get a chance to upgrade the PLP app before the race, forum being down not helping, but the version I have gave me a cut track each time I exited the pits during practice and qually ::)Title: Re: UKAC Season 1 GT3 - Monza - Sep 30 Post by: Jester on October 01, 2015, 12:14:15 PM +0100 With only 5 drivers and seeming to have a better pace, I opted to stay out of quali and go for the fun of the race. I had a to good a start and was quickly on p1 before the second chicane. Luka's AC crashed before the start and hoping to give him a race, I took a drive through the pits in the hope to have him close. Unfortunately he was still to far back, so I went for the chase of the others. I nearly made it to get P1, but I needed 1 more lap to get it ::)
