I think I was getting 52's in M1A, 53's in GT40, 54's in Capri. Not run there for a while though.

Either I'm slow or one of us is using the wrong track Did a few laps in the Pantera last night with a best of 1.22.1.

Wow, was that in the right Pantera? Strikes me as being a very good time if it was.

Yep, the slow one. It was the first time I have ever driven it & it's actually real easy to drive compared to the high power one.

Same as Geoffers for me, low 22s after a quick practice in the Pantera, hopefully more like 21s with a bit more tracktime. Love that car so haven't tried any others. Suspect the GT40 and M1A should be quicker if you can get them to turn in.

Nice track, lovely flow to it, hopefully I'll go better here! Just got some provisional quali spec times for you guys, Pantera 1.21.6, a little understeery and quite a stable car if a little low on fun. Capri 1.21.0, much nicer to drive than the Pantera, absolutely lovely drive, very forgiving and fun. GT40 1.19.8, a beast! Monsters the straights and turns in like a demon with lots of fun, lift off oversteer. As for the race, I think the GT40 will suffer first as you need to be real hard on the front tyres, the Pantera will be next with the sublime handling Capri the last to suffer ( I may be wrong though! )

You forgot the Cobra! 21's in that and 20's in the GT40 for me. Unfortunately this track is stuck right in the middle of the Cobras two gear settings options. Its either fast and risk poping the engine or slow and steady. By far the best fun though Gawd this track is good Matt R has either been visited by the same aliens presently probing Ade or on the wrong track.

Ahhh, had the probe removed... I meant 1:20 with M1A, 1:22 with GT40 1:24 with Capri I love the sound of the M1A, can't drive the thing but I love the sounddddddddddd I just set the front as hard as it will go and the back as soft, quite a bit of coast diff and hardly any power diff or it spins under power if you get any slide. Will probably be my weapon of choice, though a finish is not a done deal

Would I be completely out of order if I asked if anyone had a 914 set-up they could send me? I'm just really struggling to get enough time to even practice let alone work on a set-up - a lame excuse I know, but I'd love to take part in a race and know that the set-up I've got should be about right. At least then I can only blame my driving!
Failing that, can anyone point me to a guide that would help me get the basics right. I get most of the real world theory, but without decent practice time, it's tricky to get it applied to the sim.
Any help much appreciated.
Cheers, Ross.

Knocked a second off the Pantera, down to 21.1. Interesting stuff Madd, I've tried to drive the 2600RS Capri loads of times (practice and public servers) and find it gives absolutely no warning when its about to let go, both a sudden snap with a locked brake and a sudden transition from power oversteer to a spin. Never cured that on any track, so I've never driven a league race in it. How you've cured that I'll never know. Since I'm rubbish at lasting enduros the Pantera is the only one for me since it is so stable, even if to get good times I have to toss it sideways through the first chicane and hit full gas while its still sliding sideways, always a little unsure what the back end is going to do.......of course I've always liked the 914 too.......great car choice.
