Title: GT Team Challenge - GREEN TEAM Post by: Phil Thornton on May 19, 2011, 10:59:58 PM +0100 I can't make the Brands GT race on 29th May, I'm going to the European Championship Drag Racing at Santa Pod. Should be fun, I haven't been to a drag race for 20 years!
Not sure if we can have guest drivers, I think we can. Anyway if so, there should be a spare car if someone wants to help out the Green Team :scooter: Title: Re: GT Team Challenge - GREEN TEAM Post by: Cookie on May 19, 2011, 11:36:25 PM +0100 N.B. THERE ARE NO "RESERVE DRIVERS" IN THIS SERIES THE ONLY DRIVERS ALLOWED TO SCORE POINTS FOR THEIR RESPECTIVE TEAMS ARE THE ONES LISTED BELOW.
Sorry Phil but there is no way... Have fun with the Dragsters! In Hockenheim there is also a great Drag Racing event in summer. When they start I can hear them in my house ;D Cheers Axel Title: Re: GT Team Challenge - GREEN TEAM Post by: Phil Thornton on May 20, 2011, 07:31:35 PM +0100 N.B. THERE ARE NO "RESERVE DRIVERS" IN THIS SERIES THE ONLY DRIVERS ALLOWED TO SCORE POINTS FOR THEIR RESPECTIVE TEAMS ARE THE ONES LISTED BELOW. Ahh, I looked in the usual places but I couldn't find anything. I expected to see the details on the championship table (https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=LM2R&group=307&theme=6) not the registration thread.Title: Re: GT Team Challenge - GREEN TEAM Post by: Phil Thornton on May 26, 2011, 09:32:15 PM +0100 Chassis allocation for the series:

Title: Re: GT Team Challenge - GREEN TEAM Post by: blito on May 27, 2011, 06:53:16 AM +0100 its been a nightmare for us trying to work out what to drive where so that we dont fall foul of the "must use 3 times" rule... be warned, you only need to miss one event and then planning the chassis allocation gets tricky!
Title: Re: GT Team Challenge - GREEN TEAM Post by: EvilClive on May 27, 2011, 08:23:58 AM +0100 I never promised that managing the teams would be easy .
The intention was to create a different sort of tactical challenge for this series, so that team members would have to work very closely. I hope that everyone is having to look at each race venue and work out what the best mix of cars and drivers will be to win points. It will get increasingly difficult as we get towards the end of the season because car options will be become limited, if you have not worked out your tactics. Title: Re: GT Team Challenge - GREEN TEAM Post by: Phil Thornton on May 27, 2011, 02:53:24 PM +0100 Thanks, that will make it a lot easier for us. ;D Did we need to make it easier? You're not running scared are you H ;DTitle: Re: GT Team Challenge - GREEN TEAM Post by: BadBlood on May 27, 2011, 04:08:42 PM +0100 I do not think H and Evil know the meaning of scared ... which is why I finish off Team Red. There has to be the correct level of 'Petrified' in any team. :D

You're not running scared are you H ;DI was about to, but not anymore! ;D Seriously though, it's a team effort, so I meant it from that point of view. ;) Title: Re: GT Team Challenge - GREEN TEAM Post by: Phil Thornton on October 20, 2011, 08:17:08 PM +0100 Season 22 - Chassis selections
Title: Re: GT Team Challenge - GREEN TEAM Post by: blito on October 20, 2011, 08:49:00 PM +0100 I think I can cope with most of the choices there...
Title: Re: GT Team Challenge - GREEN TEAM Post by: Doni Yourth on October 22, 2011, 12:39:37 AM +0100 Lineup looks fine to these eyes, Phil.
FORZA TEAM GREEN! :) Title: Re: GT Team Challenge - GREEN TEAM Post by: Phil Thornton on October 22, 2011, 12:58:14 PM +0100 OK that's it then. All we need to do now is get some praccy in ;)
Title: Re: GT Team Challenge - GREEN TEAM Post by: Doni Yourth on November 05, 2011, 11:54:06 PM +0000 I'm all set for Surfer's in the MkIIB. Running good, consistant laps; got the fuel mapping down A-OK.
I just hope that I don't bungle joining the server with a time-change screwup over the weekend. Title: Re: GT Team Challenge - GREEN TEAM Post by: Phil Thornton on November 06, 2011, 10:42:33 AM +0000 Hi Donni
Well done with the lap times :). We are on GMT here in the UK now (not British Summer Time) so hopefully you won't get the times wrong. Cheers Phil Title: Re: GT Team Challenge - GREEN TEAM Post by: Doni Yourth on December 02, 2011, 01:03:41 AM +0000 I'm all set for Imola in the Ferrari. I feel that my lap times are good and I've nailed down the fuel consumption.
Title: Re: GT Team Challenge - GREEN TEAM Post by: Phil Thornton on December 02, 2011, 04:16:19 PM +0000 Great news Doni. The Ferrari should be very competitive here. Long straights and fast corners. I'll struggle a bit in the porker ;)
Title: Re: GT Team Challenge - GREEN TEAM Post by: blito on December 04, 2011, 07:54:21 PM +0000 Ill be struggling in the MkII.... In fact at Imola I struggling in anything! :D

Title: Re: GT Team Challenge - GREEN TEAM Post by: EvilClive on June 23, 2012, 12:08:42 PM +0100 Just to be sure you are not under any mis-understandings Phil.
The intention is that you are allowed a free choice of car in each race, provided that your team mates do not drive the same car. Of course, you are quite at liberty to use the same car for every round. Title: Re: GT Team Challenge - GREEN TEAM Post by: Phil Thornton on June 23, 2012, 02:55:05 PM +0100 Just to be sure you are not under any mis-understandings Phil. Thanks Clive. Yes that's how I interpreted the rules but to be honest I like to use the same chassis for a season if I can. I like to adapt the setup to the track rather than pick a different car. Having said that I might swap cars if I'm having real trouble in pre-race praccy. The intention is that you are allowed a free choice of car in each race, provided that your team mates do not drive the same car. Of course, you are quite at liberty to use the same car for every round. Now Fester has opted for the Mk1 it gives our star driver, FMG, the freedom to pick whatever he likes from the rest (he can also have the M1 if he gives me enough notice so I can pick something else). Hopefully with the pit stops equalizing the chassis it should be possible for me to be competitive in every race in the M1, it will simply be down to me to get the best out of the chassis. |
