I get very similar xd figures to Ed showing that I can do just under 50 laps with a full tank. I thought maybe your brakes were dragging, but looking at your laptime I doubt if it's that.
Maybe try another car and report back.

Do you have the correct track version Stig? Just noticed, you raced here last year and there has been a track update since then.

Just did 12 laps with 15 liter of fuel and stop empty on Stebbe Straight (13th lap). Slowest lap was 52,658 and fastest 51,803 - no fuel saving. It is possible for this Alfa to do race without stop ... my simple calculation says: 48 laps (and more because i travelled almost half a lap x4 gives extra almost 2 laps) with 60 liter ... If you prove me wrong on race, I`ll push you to the finish line.

Well Ed, I tried exactely the same 15 litres, fastest lap was 51.900 and I couldn't finish lap 12 ! Must be my rotten way way of driving i suppose, and soon the enviromentalists will come'n get me I fear On the other hand, I can actually match your times Ed, and would hate to let go of this car ....... So Matt ...... please, could you make it 45 laps instead of 47 ? Stig

Did you check your track version number? Would be interesting also to see how your fuel economy compares in another car Stig?

I use the track from the DL link in this thread. I'll try some of the other cars, if I can find the time tomorrow.

Have downloaded the track on the off chance that I may get to race but can't see the server to check that all is correct.

1: Server needed the track installing, I had to reinstall P&G3 because of the problem with replays, and life got in the way on Thursday and had no time left. Is up now.
2: I get 1.38 average fuel in XD in practice on line. This says the 60litre tank could do 43 and a half laps. I have set the race to 42 laps allowing for some grass activity. Well spotted Stig, I had assumed that any car could do 40mins racing. I will test some more, but I will make it so no car needs to stop for fuel.
EDIT: Just done a 45 lap race in the VOlumetrico, and got 1.36 worst case, mostly it was 1.35, It was just starting to stutter as I went over the line to start lap 45, so 43 laps should be safe.
Also, tested all the cars again, and any of the RS1600s are too fast here for the other cars, the TCs are fast enough, so the RS1600 has been removed.
Even more Also: Please could "Nik" add his nationality so he gets a nice little flag against his name, and Jarda Zacek could do with registering so he can score points in races whenever he races with us. Thanks Guys.

Good decision to remove the 1600 Matt. I was 1 sec faster in it using the default setup!

Yep
I am doing low 1:53 with 911 2.5 and Escort TC, a few tenths slower with the Volumetrico and the older lighter Alfa 2.0. I am getting 1:52.2 with the slower RS1600, so out he goes.

Just wasted a couple of hours then. Couldn't we just have spec races? I don't have time for car selection on top of everything else!

Any graphic issues here please. Having sorted computer out (GTL Brands Indy) I put in about half an hour on GTL and about the same here before my screen froze with black bar down center of Screen. Had to Ctrl/Alt/Delete a number of times to clear. System checked out OK.

@Bill: Sounds like overheating however much you have done. Take the side off your case and try it, or use the ATI tool or RIVatuner to slow the clock - GPU and Memory and see what happens. Ok, now I am officially scared, my fastest lap so far (granted only by 1 tenth) is in a 911 p.s Why have you wasted a couple of hours Clive, there is not a huge difference between the TCs and the RS1600s just the RS1600s have more power I doubt you have "wasted" as many hours as I have testing cars and the laps reduction is trivial?

Thanks Matt - Tomorrows Task, have card manufacturer's utility to play around with settings and measure chip temperature.
