I didn't try the smaller engined Maser but did have a go in its bigger brother.
Best way to describe it? Maserati 450S-WM. WM for widow-maker.

hehehe! I have to agree Doni. I think that monster Maserati is just about the most difficult car I have driven in ANY sim racing game. Even the 67 Honda in GPL, or the 427 Cobra in GTL or PnG seem tame in comparison to this beast. But I do have a sneaking love for it, just because it is such a behemoth.

I think the winner here will be the Mazzer 5ltr that doesn't crash... Doni has a way with monsters by the way For me, I can do 2:24 in the big Mazzer, and 2:29 in the DB2 so far, with maybe some time to come off when I stop braking 100 metres before I need to... Not tried the others yet. I think here and Rheims are the obvious Mazzer fests as this is like Rheims with kangaroos, I didn't have Bathurst as an obvious Power track, but it seemed to be.

Sitting here with my laptop and I read 2:24!!! I hope that is not with full tanks??!!! otherwise I am almost 10secs of the pace and yes I have noticed Doni's ability to control the big block cars in various sims, I suspect that at least his right foot went to university.

Oh bu**er!! Thought that I might try the Fezza here and was looking to get sub 2:30!! But it looks like the smart money is on ( and the faster drivers are in ) the Maserati. Anyone getting any joy with the D type??? It has a claimed top speed that should really work here, but I cannot extract a laptime that looks anything like respectable??? maybe it's me...in fact let's face it! it probably IS me not the car!! I might have to do some exploratory research with the Mazza before tomorrow and make a decision. I can see that all that power and speed has a huge advantage here at Longford on all those straights, and that Reims is likely to be wall to wall Maserati.

I’m not sure I can make this race. I have to make an appearance at a Nephews Birthday Tea Party this evening. If I get home in time I will drive something fast like a Maserati but of course it will be driven slowly. I am very under practiced so may either be early on the brakes or get lost down an escape road. Having looked at this circuit I would hate to miss a trip back to the sixties. If I don’t make it I hope all enjoy their race.

AAAARRRGGGHHHH ... at the end of qualifying I was in the process of typing "Well done Coyote" when GTL froze and even Windows task manager would not allow me to kill GTL and get back so I had to restart PC. By the time I had done this the race was well underway :'( Ah well, hopefully you guys had a good one

A disaster that could have been a great race. I made a good start but had to sit behind Coyote, and then got wobbly as I couldn't hear my own engine then got pushed onto the dirt while passing causing me to go off and others to have issues then shoved Bill2 from behind as I was following, I thought cautiously, then caught and followed only to shove someone else Misnoimis? so left in disgust. it's really hard on that narrow track to avoid cars of a completely different pace as the Mazzers. Sorry to anyone's race I messed up

hi
my first race here with you guys. thxs for that, was good fun. I was much faster in Maserati 5.7 (2:25.xxx), but I decided to stay in Aston (best time offline 2:28.xxx) I like that car much more and it seems to be more secure to drive. first laps were nice, on pos. 6 I think. later I had no chance of breaking, two cars on the road in the esses. suspension damaged, 1. pit in, 58 secs. some laps later made a mistake, again suspension, 2. pitstop, same time. 3. pitstop for fuel. (good pitstop-training!) what I noticed: xd showed no tirewear, all tires as new! i choosed "dunlop vintage" well, i would come back to next race, if theree´s a slot for me. monday good race day for me. in the moment I cant do league races at Gamers-Crib, thursday evenings work.............. If some of you want do drive at GC-league, you´re welcome...
thxs 4 fun&race
greets hayman
