Hi guys!
This track was pretty cool, but at the same time, I never turned on it before Wednesday evening, when I did 2 laps offline (your server wasn' t onilne that night :'() just to know a bit the corners. Fortunately, I had no much troubles to learn the circuit, so after 20 crashes at the first hairpin in 10 minutes, I really started to love the track when I realized that with the Z06 you have to brake early!!
First laps with Mike and Clive were great, our cars were always in a few centimeters, and the first lap even Matt was trying to attack me in this long cars train! When Clive did a slight mistake me and Mike took immediately advantage of it and after the overtake, Mike started to go really fast for my still poor knowledge of this track, and I started to keep his pace only after some laps seasoned by some mistakes... My chase to Mike has finished in the same way of ade... At the first corner, with my car twisting on the kerb... so race over
.
It's a pity, because it's a funny track even turning alone, but it's a bit challenging with this kind of cars to be concentrated for 1h without making any mistakes. I guess that probably some of you are right, maybe a shorter race without pits here would have been better. Regarding the 60's and 70's tracks, in many cases they are as beautiful as hazardous, and I guess these cars need extreme caution in every circumstance on these older tracks without escape roots!
Only an opinion for the next champ. I know that here, apart from me, Giuseppe, Clive, ade, Matt and sometimes few others of you use to train for a race. It's difficult to finish a race like that of yesterday even if you're trained, and I guess that most of championship races, should be done on some "popular tracks", to give the chance to everybody to be at the same level for the knowledge of the tracks, and have more people seeing the checkered flag... In the last 2 races, of 24-25 attendant, only 6 has seen the checkered flag, and I guess that it's something wrong for a fun event!
For this kind of cars there are more appropriated tracks like Riverside Can Am or Road America, Road Atlanta, Long Beach '79, Sebring etc etc. As I've seen in Bathurst it's really difficult to stay in row with these cars in a so close track, because at the first mistake who is behind you has no chances to avoid you.
However thanks to Mike for allowing me to get to know this track! See you for the next! Bye bye!
