Full marks to JPS who waited and waited for his chance to get by me and took his chance when it came. I'd already decided not to try and defend the postion if he went for it, but the patience shown as great on his part.
Thanks D-Nicholas You hardly made any mistakes from my ringside seat just behind you.

Politics made my 3rd place. After Evert made a mistake I was 3rd and I stayed here to the end of the race. Purds and MarkMc were behind me and they were both faster than me. So I kept the pace and let them battle their selves, just watched my exit was good enough to prevent outbraking. Well, it worked, even made a small gap towards the end. Tyre wear on RF was close to 30 but the lap-times didn't drop as much, so... Grats to mo and Brian. TT

Purdie's much deserved DQ now 'fixed'. Very exciting race for me - didn't qualify well and spent pretty much the whole race battling with the Dutch Turtles. Got past Ade early on but he lurked close behind in the early stages and when Jan and I touched and JD went off, Ade slipped back past whilst I waiting for Jan to rejoin. I was very careful in the first half of the race not to burn my medium tyres up too fast and it paid me back second half; the Porsches were very fast on the straights but utter dogs in the corners and I was struggling to avoid hitting them when dropping back and trying to get runs on them out of the corners. Eventually bullied my way past Jan and set off after Evert who was some seconds up the road; had another monster scrap with him and eventually forced a pass round the outside of turn 2. From there I was watching the gap to Ade ahead come down, but not enough to mount an attack and had to settle for 11th. Finished with about 18 wear on the front left.

Yay, finally had a mistake-free race. Anders seems an easy track to get a fair setup on, found a much more stable, less tail-happy setup.
Tried pressurising Simon in the mid part of the race when I was a bit quicker, had a couple of half hearted looks, but that damn Morgan launches out of the corners down the long straights way better than the Fezza, was always losing a few tenths in the first half of the lap then pulling them back in the second half. And Simon made no real errors to provide an opportunity. Having applied pressure I actually had the surprise of getting increasing understeer rather than the usual oversteer, thanks to my more on the nose setup. So the pace fell away a little bit.
Then it was just a case of picking off Mark Mc's ailing 911, the tyre wear must have been terrible on those rears, and finishing with some satisfaction at not throwing it off the track or into anybody else.
Holiday time now.....

All bark and no bite! LOL my Porsche was biting last night The setup was perfect and allowed me to push on while keeping the tyres below 90, resulting in a very consistant car and small tyre wear (only 22 on the left side front and back). Brian made a great qually lap in the conditions so I was set for a long slog trying to keep up. A small mistake by Brian on lap one allowed me past though, and I think that due to consistant tyre temps I was able to maintain a 1 to 2 second lead for the race. I could see Brian in my mirrors for the whole race as the gap varied, but not by very much. Grats to Brian and TT on the podiums See you next week, Mo.

Purdie's much deserved DQ now 'fixed'. loll, sorry ........got carried away on the straight! and also at the beginning of the pace lap, I just sat there on the grid.....sorry but my pedals USB plug was just clinging onto the back of my wheel and i pushed it back in and thankfully it worked! Quali went okay, i just used my RSR setup on the RS with a click less front ARB to dial out the added understeer and it was alright! 8th wasn't amazing tho! Got a good start and got past Ade, then over the next couple of laps sneaked past Mark and Pseudo where I inherited 4th. Mark wasn't having any of this and him and I closed up on the back of TrueTom. Couple of times I almost got past, then Mark overtook me (about 3 times!!!) and we both had a go at TT but wud he not be penetrated!! (so to speak ). TT then pulled out a gap and I pulled out a gap on Mark, his pace was as quick (if not quicker than mine) but he seemed to just fall back at that point. Then Simon seemed to pull his finger out and caught and passed Mark and give him one more lap he would have passed me too ...... I was on mediums all round and 3 laps from the end my front-left was 33 so my times dropped off by 2 secs as I got tired too (lol)......grats to Mo and TT on his defending .....very happy with 4th! great racing

Holy carp, Batman, anything over 30 is puncture territory! Nah, 30 is tyre worn message, 35 or more is puncture territory, or ofcourse tyretemp/pressure.

I started getting tyres worn warning at 30. At the end my front left was 35 and that was medium tyres all round. I don't know why it was so high. I was trying to save them and surely the damp for the first part of the race would have reduced wear? I don't know how some managed to nurse their tyres so well unless the morgan is hard on tyres? It was just my front left that was the issue. When I realised the race was starting damp I increased the rear wing. Instead of the car doing much of the steering from the rear, with the extra wing the back always stayed tight and I had to steer more. Maybe that's where I've gone wrong.

Maybe you had high camber settings? Damp could reduce tyrewear, but if it causes more scrubbing of the tyres, it actually increases wear. Could it be that the lack of ARB makes the tyres wear harder on tracks like Anders?

Obviously the morgan does not have any ARB adjustment so nothing I could do there. Camber was set at about 3 degrees, where I'm normally around. I did not spend much time developing a set up. I just loaded my donington set up and adjusted gears and tyre pressures and thought that will do. In the dry mid 1.29s and mid 1.30s race so I thought it was good enough. Come the real qualifying in the damp, still managed a 1.30.7 but come the race by the time it dried my tyres were past their best. Don't know how Mo found so much extra pace in race over qualifying.

Your wear was similar to mine Brian, it's just that you were prepared to push the car harder than me, hence the 5 wear difference at the end. If I'd try to go at full pelt for the race I probably would have been at 40 I reckon. My camber was probably around 3.3 on the front left, which was too much for a race setup.
