All members welcome. Practice: 20:15 (15 mins) Qualifying: 20:30 (20 mins) Race: 20:50 (41 laps = ~40 mins) Track: Brands Hatch v1.0 Indy, available from the downloads pageCars allowed: Austin Mini Cooper S (rating 3.2), Jaguar MkII (rating 2.9) Time of Day Setting: 10:00 Server: UKGTL Ladder; in the event that the lobby is unavailable, connect using Direct IP, entering games.avonrise.co.uk in the Add IP box Password: See this postNotes:(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage. (2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules. (3) General information on the ladder can be found on the series home page. (4) The season will be run using the UKGTL Skin Pack 1.3 which will need to be installed prior to racing; please get it from the downloads page.

Important! We need a good turnout for this event, 16+ ideally, to secure a short term future for the Ladder.

As someone who has tried to support GTL since I started online racing in June last year I have driven regularly except for a couple month period when I was ill.
I'd like to raise some observations.
I'm not very good but I hope consistent and usually finish. I drive GTL cars because I enjoy racing the cars particularly the racing versions of road cars. This to me is true motor sport, not the current GTR cars many of which only exist for the race track. (My GTR2 cars of choice are the Chevy C5-R, BMW GTR and the 911 RSR.)
Last night I practiced but did not race as the cars are not ones I drive except for events like last night. Secondly the track is not one I've race on since Toca 2. Thirdly the race was a 8.50 start, I prefer an 8.00 start. The result of all these things meant I was not happy that I could have sufficient control of an Alien car on a strange track and didn't want to compromise other drivers races.
A mini on the Brands Indy Circuit is great, I'll be there bar accidents, the date's in my diary.
Bill

Missed the last race as I was busy with stuff after Christmas, hope to make this one. Not sure whether to go for the Mini or Inspector Morse's car , will have to try them both.

Sorry for leaving the last race - had a series of disco's during practice and quali, finally traced to a bit of malware, but by the time I had fixed it the race was running.
I'll be there for the Indy race!

Nice one missisipi, welcome onboard Well done Sharky, thought the No-grip site would be a useful hunting ground for GTL racers. They regularly fill up their 30 place grids for sunday eves.
