It was a bummer cause I couldn´t get in, always a ctd after loading track. What was interesting was that I was in driving a couple of laps, then there was a freeze at the start line, a ctd and after that I was not able to get in.

whats next on the plans for a P&G round, oh Ginsters wise one?  Grin

Last night was a good success and proved the P&G mod is popular, even attracting some new faces.  Smiley

Just for info - I kept getting CTD, also just after joining. A bit wierd as I'd previously practised online without any problem at this track.

Dynosaur, did you try deleting the HAT file for the track before rejoining? Usually works for me. I often get a CTD when rejoining after the server is restarted for qually, deleting the HAT file usually cures it. Happens in GTL as well.

Qualified in 6th with the 906. Only one race so far, but i believe it could match with 911 and maybe with the GT40 MK2. I really can't make a conclusion because after first corner i was in last position  Roll Eyes
My fault tho, i was with a bit of effect of the anesthesia  nuke wacko yawn that i took in the morning.
But i was very commited to attend to this event.  sweatdrop lol

Afterwords, my goal was recover many places as i could. I did it for 9th place and i was joining the 7th and 8th cars when the race was over  Huh 10 minutes/7 laps earlier  Shocked
GTR2 bug (not the first time this happen). So in future rather make lap races instead time races

As for the 906 vs 911 pace, only first race in a fast track, but i do believe they match quite well.
Maybe with Corvette L88. Don't know haven't tried yet.

Absolutely a mod we must take it.
By the way, started in 6th and saw perfectly well the lights.

Cheers.

Had a really enjoyable race although the result wasn't what I hoped for. Had pole with something to spare in the end but like Madd I couldn't see the lights on the grid. The first I knew was when Ginsters tapped me sideways as he dived between us, and by the time I had gathered it up Madd was ahead too. The first few laps were great fun, with the GT40s slower everywhere except the main straight where they just disappeared - literally! I did manage to get ahead of Madd at one point, but Ian's GT40 ahead prevented me from getting any sort of gap before the straight came round - again he was miles down the road by the end even after starting well behind me  Roll Eyes

After Madd passed Ginsters I was then looking for a way past him, and as he went a bit wide at the long left onto the straight I stuck my nose down the inside but he may not have seen me there. He squeezed me slightly towards the inside on the exit and in trying to avoid I took too much curb and spun it round - doh!

By the time I was back on track I was in 6th and then 7th as Watty came by on the straight. We then had several fun laps as I tried to engineer a way past his monster, which I finally managed round the outside of the last long left hander. This time I had a chance to extend the gap before the straight thankfully. TT was next some way up the road, but I gradually reeled him in and passed when he had a big wobble out of the last corner. Had a nice little battle with Dan after a spin brought him back to me, ending in a pass at the end of the straight. I had just caught up with the Ade/Ginsters battle when the race ended prematurely  taz

Overall the racing was terrific though, although I agree that the GT40 is too much of a mismatch for the other cars. Once in front it is a nightmare to pass with so much extra grunt, although had I not been tag-teamed at the start I don't think they quite had the pace to keep up. Congrats to Madd and to teamies Ginsters & especially Ade - great drive  clap

What tyres did people in the 911 use for the race??

i was on the biasply softs Dan. Tyre wear seemed fine over the shortish race distance. What did others use? Radials are supposed to be the better tyre but i cant say i have found more pace in my limited tests with them. Getting the blinking tyre pressures right seems to be the biggest challenge !
