IMPORTANT
This race will be used to test our 'clubmans' idea again.
The cars chosen can be divided into three chassis groups-
A
Trans Am Mustang and Alfa GTA.
B
Alfa Junior and any Cortina.
C
Cortina GT only, Gr2 Abarth, Mustang BSCC, Mini and Gr5 Abarth.
Our "regulars" can be, very roughly divided into three groups.
GROUP 1 can only choose from slowest chassis group C
Dan Minton, Madd, Paul 968, Ginsters, Ade, [Poodle]Keith, Oily, PR and Jos Verstappen.
GROUP 2 can choose between chassis B and C.
MJ, Tinman, SamB, FMG, Matt Rowe, TT, Simon Gymer, Lazlow, Legzy, Ossie, Geoffers, Ross and Purdie.
The remainder, far too many to list, have a free choice. If any of that group don't fancy battling against alien types up front or like the fastest choice they can of course choose a slower car.

I've never done a lap of this track nor ever seen a lap done on it anywhere Is it a fictional circuit ? Not sure if i can make it yet as would be racing 3 nights on the trot, unless i can slip some tranquilisers into the missus' coffee Got a P&G RSR race the night before this and that gets my preference this time i'm afraid Hope i can make it though.

Is it a fictional circuit ?
Yes. Circuit Thermalito is a fictional race track developed from a real life location in Thermalito, California. Based around a hydroelectric dam, the 5.229km course races around the water's edge and through two tunnels inside the dam itself with a challenging selection of corners, plenty of overtaking opportunities and a wide variety of elevation changes. The paddock and grid can support up to a maximum of 36 cars with immediate access to the podium and VIP conference centre outside of T1. Facilities also include a complete lighting system for night/endurance racing and main/backup TV cameras as well as recently introduced multiple track configurations for international/club racing.

Don't tell him that Phil, he'll never show up! Tell him this: Oh MJ, I'm disappointed you're not familiar with the world renowned Thermalito circuit, there was me thinking you knew you historic racing r's from your elbow?! Download it & give it a try MJ, Thermalito has everything you could want on a race track. Climbs, dips, tunnels, fast turns, slow turns, chicanes, a start line.... hairpin bend... gravel.... pits... nice view... a finish line... (struggling for other things you might want, but what ever else you might want, it's there ) Great track.

Why of course. Welcome aboard Manteos Do keep an eye on this topic, where we will post some times shortly, and give us an idea of your pace. Then we can put you in the chassis group to provide you, and all of us, with the most fun

Ginster is obviously very, very, very busy so thought he could do with a bit of 'help' So how about: The cars chosen can be divided into four chassis groups- A. Any listed in 60's FIA Gr.2 B. Cortina GT C. Mini 970S D. Abarth Our "regulars" can be, very roughly divided into four groups. GROUP 1 can only choose from slowest chassis group D Dan Minton, Madd, Paul 968, Ginsters, Ade, [Poodle]Keith and Jos Verstappen. GROUP 2 can choose between chassis C and D Oily, TT, PR and Matt Rowe. GROUP 3 can choose between chassis B, C and D MJ, Tinman, SamB, FMG, Simon Gymer, Lazlow, Legzy, Ossie, Geoffers, Ross and Purdie. GROUP 4 The remainder, far too many to list, have a free choice and can have a ‘ball’. If any of that group don't fancy battling against alien types up front or like the fastest choice you must be off your ’trolley’ Welcome Matteo, I've only recently join up with these guys and they will make you welcome on and off the track Laurie
