Am thinking of running some 90's GT racing soon using F40, F1 and Ruf 911 but they may have to race individually at different tracks, or a series using the McLaren as its a proper racing legend I always used to get the F40 and RUF lapping to within 10ths. Unless the tire model has seriously changed things then this should still be the case - it's just that the YB takes a very different driving style to get good speed from.

Phew that was tiring, I was soaked in sweat by the end. Numbers went against us again but a plucky 7 took part, so big thanks to them for racing Qually was quite fierce in the top 4, very close. Got a good race start and did my best to avoid the rear of Jeffs Ferrari this time, though it was close a couple of times as we fought for 2nd.! Fmg then ran wide and we fought for 1st for a while though Jeff had it in hand. He let me past for a while and it gave me the incentive to set a series of my fastest race laps with him chasing me, even nicking fastest race pb for a while! My highlight But then some inevitable scruffy laps where I kept braking too late gave Jeff the lead back A random oversteer spin on lap 12 sealed the deal and JR scampered off for the easy win in the end, shame I couldn't press him until the end. If Fmg hadn't spun early on and Ed didn't have technical problems it would have been a humdinger 4 way fight for the win & podium, so the race could have been even better.

From the replay I span because I left the rubbered section of track while under braking and hadn't realised - This over heated my tires which caused some more rotations, then I clipped the kerb at 130 mph and it got away from me which practically melted my tires - causing yet more spins.... I pulled it together and got consistent again, but it was way too little and way too late Congrats to the fast types

The car feels a lot better with the new tyre physics . Qually was going to be close, unfortunatly Ed didn't do it (I think because of internet issues?). Slapped on hards just before the race, after never even trying them. Had my usual smokey and bad start, and FMG was off. Was really struggling with the ice cold hards and couldn't keep up with FMG, as I was also getting nervous from the size of MJ in my rear view mirror . Unfortunatly, FMG spun and the gap between MJ was a few seconds. Decided to let him past, as I didn't want us to both end up in no man's land. To my surprise, I was struggling to keep up to him. He even held fastest lap for a while . Shame the pace came with being all over the place . The hard tyres were actually pretty fast and never overheated as far as I saw. How was the wear on the mediums and can you see the wear some...where ( ) on the new tyre app?

Mediums worked fine for me during the race. I think the green bar to the outside of the tyres in the App shows wear and there was plenty left after the 19 laps I think. I wasn't checking that often as I was trying to chase Chris down. Only just caught him up before the end, another lap would have been fun as FMG had caught be by then as well. Could have been a momentous last lap, although those usually end badly for me

Jeezz, what a mistake on tires by me. I assumed the most left compound tires on the slider would be the best as is usually with the street cars. Really thought the trofeo's where some kind of mweh cup spec rubbish compound, so i had set the car up for the semislicks. Thanks Jeffrey for pointing it out as there is no explanation in the garage about the rubbers available.
Could tell the trofeo slick made the the car more grippy, so after the start i was really able to step on the loud pedal. Had a nice "Verstappen" into Campagnato and slotted in behind MJ. But after a couple of laps suffered a similar problem as FMG i guess. My left rear was overheating as the car was not setup properly and made me spin 3 times on corner exit. To bad as it looked like we could have had a good scrap behind the leading group. Ah well, glad we have two more races in these cars. And congrats to the podium!

Well my 1st podium but to be fair more from the misfortune of others than my own puny skills. It was looking good at the beginning as Stef was all over me like a rash and really good, no contact, wheel to wheel, fun. And then as you say Stef it all went wrong. Then some weird warping which sent Animaled off into oblivion and Peter went from 6sec behind to 15sec behind in an instance which was also weird, meant I was on my own. The last 5 laps were tricky and had several moments but managed to keep it on the black stuff. Peter had made good time and reduced the 15sec to about 0.2sec by the time I crossed line, so very close Peter! I won't be able to make the next race unfortunately so have a good one Cheers Chris

Connection issues strikes again. Funny thing is that I have 3 connections on separate lines in my house ... ok, one is wifi but that one is used only out of desperation when something goes wrong ...
Even funnier is that I had 24 hrs reconnection issue before and forgot to change time in new modem that I got week or so ago. In lap 8 - reconnect - "server seem to be unavailable" ...
Anyway, with 1.5 tire model I don`t have problem driving any car so you`ll see me more often.
Aaaand just saw PM from Mark ... lurking here every day but login only if I have something to say.

I didn't see you warping Ed even when you mentioned your ping, your car looked stable. Was your connection making the rest of us warp?

No, no warping, only crazy ping (12xx) during the practice but that was because I was on home net. For race I used shop net an no issues at all except that stupid reconnection. That weird warping that Sutol saw was me cliping inside kerb and went across the grass into barrier with light speed.

I would enjoy your podium finish Chris. And indeed it was good fun. If i make an overtake like that if i was against AI, i would feel "ok, nice". But against real live drivers, especialy with these bunch which i rate highly, it turns into a great feeling. So thanks Chris for racing me and you just had your stuff together and i did not. I hope we can have a much longer fight on the track next time out. @MJ, can you confirm the next venue will be on the A1 ring version 1.3 from the Racedepartement site? I guess i need all practice i can muster.

Just noticed I'm joint 2nd with Jeff in the championship table if I'd known that I wouldn't have let him past so easily the other night
