I was going to suggest shoe horning a race in using the new content but realised it would bugger up the series dates already put in lm2.
Guess we get to check out the improved circuit graphics and test out tyre model 7. Not had a chance to get near my PC to play any of the new update at all yet :'(

New track updates look great and really bring the circuits alive 1:38's so far. Fezzas are pretty cool here Got to say I'm really liking the 1.5 update. The tracks look stunning now they've been populated with more trackside objects and been updated. Check the Nurburgring GP track The ambient and engine sounds are greatly improved too, reverb under bridges, bottoming out etc. I even enjoyed taking the new yank tanks out for some laps, the new mustang seriously has the same Dna as the old 60's original new tyre app built in too. Replays look and sound superb.

Mark do you want to specify # of laps or shall I do it based on your 1:38? i.e 19 laps?

Bugger, forgot to test lap numbers, I think someone like Jeff or Fmg will do a 1:37 so best base it on that.

I'll stick to 19 laps then. Mind you as I can't get close to anything under 1:40 I think I'll make it 5 laps

Great! Looking forward to tonight. Didn't had time to run the S3 version on Vallelunga. I did do a double sprint race over at NGR last weekend with the standard F458. That was very enjoyable. Also the graphics and sounds improved the immersion factor for me. Eager to see how the proper race cars react to the new tire model though. (looks like tire wear is higher again on this new version)
Altough the S3 is a different animal, i do have a good clue on where the track goes and we do have the base setup from last weeks race, so i expect to be able to do consistant laps. Looks like there will be other drivers with my pace tonight, should be fun. See you all tonight then.

I was playing around with f40's and McLaren F1 gtr's at Spa last night, absolute hubba hubba. it's a real shame they aren't more balanced to race each other as both look and sound spectacular on track. Am thinking of running some 90's GT racing soon using F40, F1 and Ruf 911 but they may have to race individually at different tracks, or a series using the McLaren as its a proper racing legend

Mmmmmm. I will try those on Spa myself after tonights race. Need to check the improved Nordschleife also.
The F1 GTR seems way to fast for both F40 and Ruf YB. But the latter could run together, maybe with a little bit of weight balancing. Same goes for Shelby Cobra vs Lambo Countach and the Audi Quattro vs Ford Escort RS..... just saying... You could even consider a maximum drives per make to stimulate driving both available cars like Tony likes to do.
Did you guys see/try the La Sarthe Le Mans track btw? Could do for a rerun of the C9 vs Mazda 787 race. The Merc C9 LM should be good there...

Grr i hate it when they do these updates changing the whole experience.
However it feels like the tyres are stiffer now (from the GT3s anyway) so feels like the car will do what you want now and theres more grip. Hopefully this all translates to the road tyres which should make this easier with you facination with those more power than grip cars!
