It was recently brought to my attention that the results from Oulton park race did not import properly in to LM2. I have extracted the data into excel and re-arranged it:
Driver Position laps race time Chris … 1 31 3064.413 NFSW55… 2 31 3080.268 Jeffre… 3 31 3085.846 FLAVUS… 4 31 3092.645 Felix … 5 31 3102.715 MARK J… 6 31 3109.003 Albert… 7 31 3125.038 SPANNE… 8 31 3141.021 Stephe… 9 30 3078.052 PICNIC… 10 30 3087.943 Isaac … 11 30 3140.141 Larry … 12 30 3152.842 POSTAL… 13 29 3065.398 MattRo… 14 27 3125.487 ROG UK… 15 21 2337.125 Ewan B… 16 0
1. If anyone disagrees with this finishing order could they pipe up?
2. The only option i can see for modifying the results on LM2 is to re-arrange the data manually. If anyone knows of an automated method of doing this so that we can keep hold of the lap times etc then they are welcome to have a go or painstakingly re arrange it manually!
Otherwise i plan to delete all the current data (qually times/fastest lap times etc) for this event and replace with just the info above so that the championship points table is correct.
I will leave this thread open until next weekend for anyone to comment if they have any ideas.

I don't know what LM2 is or what way you are creating the results table but google sheets is very handy for this type of thing. You can import data from files and there are a lot of very useful commands to automate tables and you can also create scripts to automate things further. You can embed the google sheets results page into a thread, well you can on other sites but no sure what software you use for this site. I can help where possible. The good thing about google sheets is that you can give permissions to other users to edit data if you trust them

I thought it was Ewan that complained to you the results were wrong in the first place. You've now got him last when I thought he had completed all 31 laps

I thought it was Ewan that complained to you the results were wrong in the first place. You've now got him last when I thought he had completed all 31 laps i was looking at the results on LM2 and rearranging based on laps completed and race time (in seconds). So are we saying this information is wrong as well as the finishing order? if so I could try looking at the replay in AC, cant see any other way of working it out?

Unless I'm looking at the wrong results https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=14847#event5753the # of laps completed for Ewan is 31 and he was 0 laps behind the leader (same as Spanner) I have no idea what order they finished or why the import reckons Ewan's best laptime was over 27 hours!

I think I see what has happened, the data in LM2 shows Ewan as doing 31 laps, but with a total race time of 0 seconds, when I sorted the race time column in excel it must have put him to the bottom. I will slot him in 8th place (which is where he says he finished)

So is there something wrong with either the result file structure or our importer? Its getting rather frequent now, rather than just being a one off. Its been a rather unique feature of this place holding our results on the site but if its now a manual process....

The finishing order recorded in the import seems to disagree with the lap count and times quite a lot - I think something must've been borked inside the game.
You don't need to nuke the times to fix the results, though - the 'race_pos_sim' column in the event entries page allows the order to be changed without touching anything else - it's used for sims like AC which are supposed to reliably record finishing order regardless of other data. There's even a little explanatory note at the top of that page...

I've rejigged Silverstone and Oulton so that the cars and sim to forum driver mappings (as seen when hovering over the driver in the race results) should be correct.
