Anyone around later this evening for a quick test of the weight ballast system?
I want to find out whether the weight is applied as drivers join or when the game moves to the next session as it will have implications for quali.
Shout up here if you're available and I'll give you 5Kgs test ballast if you're not one of those due to carry ballast this race.

Guys, as we're running ballast now is there anyway of having the server running Monday nights? I know there is normally a GTL race, but its pointless us working on setups if the ballast isn't on the car, also as I noticed it does alter the braking points more than expected

Good question. I believe this was because there were problems with capacity in the past and it was decided to shut down all other sessions on our server to try to minimise problems with races, but I'm wondering if this is still the case ATM Fridays and Saturdays are the only evenings available for practice across all events which is not ideal. By 22:00 most evenings the practice servers are up again so I guess we have to make do with this It is a shame because Mondays were becoming an unofficial practice night for F1 with more drivers online than we get at some events. As you say Jamera, for those with ballast online practice is the only way.

I would also question the long first practise session which i thought was initially introduced to reduce the issues of loads of drivers joining at once. Yes, its clear GTL has gain some momentum with drivers and is probably the highest attendance but its not quite like the good-old days ( now where have i heard that before...) Not trying to pick on GTL but now running ballast we do need the F1 server even more for practise!

Dallara is a pretty unuseful car even here I was capable to do only a 1.30 in it... with a bit more training probably I could go down to a 1.29 low/28 high maybe... Than I took on loan Lazlow's Minardi to check if was me unable to drive in this circuit or a car issue, and I discovered that I was on a 1.24 pace in it. I have to find some kind of "cheat" to let this boneshaker go a bit more ... Tomorrow I will check the qualif laptimes, and if I'm too slow to compete with at least one driver, I will give up for this one. I really dislike the idea to be lapped after 20 mins race. I guess that in this mod the slower cars are very distant from the top cars... even if in Hockenheim won a Coloni... and this left me only a little bit puzzled Cu
