Thanks for the advice guys I think I pannicked I'll definitely sit it out next time no matter how long it takes & read the chat more which I don't usually. Don't feel guilty the guy who told me to leave the pits, it was done in good faith, you were the one who followed me in a fun/practice qually at either Brands or Zandfoort & gave me good advice that I was trying too hard & to try & keep it smooth which is probably how I got such a good lap time anyway. To be honest I don't think I would have held 3rd in the race as I had a habit of running wide on some corners & you lot don't need an invitation. Every race I learn something, another lesson.
As an aside can I pass on this little gem. The night before the race I took 10lb off both roll bars & that gave a consistent ½ second off my lap time. Funny old game innit. N Hance

GPL Novice race Zandfoort 20 Jan 2009
In qually I crossed the line pulled onto grass & escaped return to pits. There was no time for another run so exited to the screen that shows a map of cirtuit & view of finish line. Qually ended. Looked on chat & it said I should quit the pits but I had so I went back into pits & out again. Awaiting green button to form a grid & it seemed like a very long wait. So I went out of igor to be safe & back in again to same place still no green button. Went out of igor 2nd time but this time was not allowed in as it said the race had started without me. A bit upsetting(understatement) I had a good grid position. Has anyone any ideas what went wrong? ..... NHance (Novice is a correct description of me)

Hi I have had GPL about a year but have not played it all the time. Recently I have done about 6 or 7 of the fun races on line that have been before the novice championship rounds, starting at Rouen. I wonder if it is possible to compete in the remaining 65 novice championship races. I have a G25 wheel. Must admit I have been at the back of the field but haven't been lapped or caused any major incidents to my knowledge. I really like the game in spite of its difficulty or perhaps that's what makes it
