Oh well, my steering wheel was really helping me out by going from full FFB to absolutely none, then back again and so on, almost impossible to control the car with the steering going mad all the time.  Stupid intermittent problem, make it a real sod to get it replaced under warranty (with 2 months left).

Car was getting really nasty to drive, front tyres went off, crappy understeer.  Just confirms what I thought about P&G, the way I drive its understeer all the way, pretty nasty.

Was doing okay too after not a single lap of practice or even anything close to a setup before I joined, then qually on full tanks......

I was having a fantasic time with Mr Oily first then the #77 mustang when I suddenly got a message I'd lost the connection to the server.  Such a shame but look forward to the next race.

Suddenly found myself in 1st position. Then realised I was the only car left on the track. Didn't get a connection lost message though.

Same here Laurie....I also got a "Lost Connection" message....a real shame cause I was having some great battles with "Minton, Legzy and Matt"...quality dicing Grin
I have to say though, the start was a little hectic  Sad ...might be an idea to try a rolling start next time.

Cheers all

Disco for me  :'( Looks like a few of us where taken out at same time. Ruddy lobby.

So you think the lobby could be causing it? I got disco'd about 1/4 of the way round lap 2, but it was a problem all through Qually and practice (hence me leaving and rejoining the server so much).

Results were a complete mess and I think I have made a good stab at cleaning them up :'(

There were so many discos that it would appear to me that it was lobby/tinternet connected but I've been wrong before. The lobby was ruddy slow as it was on Sunday.

AAAHHHHHHH........... so who cares if all the field disco'd - I got my first (and surely my only) win in a SROuk race. It does my old (refurbished) heart good to know that miracles can happen!!!
Took the Alfa Junior, it was the only car from my groups that I could get a time with. Best of 1(2).45 in the Abarth and 1(2?).43 in the Mann Cortina.
Had great fun keeping better drivers (Ginsters and Jos) behind because of higher top speeds. Ended up having a helluva race with Jos, who was an absolute Warrior to be able to get so much speed out of the puny (but fun) Abarth.I'm sure that I hit someone on the first lap but everyone was warping like crazy and I couldn't tell who was real or a figment of my imagination.
About 3 laps from the end Jos disappeared from behind me, only to reappear alongside me half a lap later. Repassed him and then got into a mega slide, and he was in front again.
On the penultimate lap he lost it in the tunnel and I was home free!!
It mattered not one jot to me that only three of us finished (with my team mate Martin looking on as an interested spectator).
I must be living proof of the saying "better to be lucky than good".

ey Tinman great race man! very close, and that for the most part of the race, but many confusion when every one suddenly disappeared and then maybe 30 seconds later you were in front of me again. Smiley

I was pushing my ass off to get closer to you and I finnally succeded and overtook, pretty far into the race, now I had to keep you off from me, you always coming damn close to me on the straights....

and even in an abarth you can make a mistake Sad

ah well, its not the destination, but the drive there  angel

Just a gentle reminder to drivers that messages should be kept to the very minimum during qualy and race sessions.

Thanks.

I think that Thermalito earned itself a few new fans in this last week, it certainly remains a track I love. Shame that about 90% of us were robbed midway through, probably by lobby connection problems, but worry ye not, I'm sure we'll see it again one day Wink

Was shaping up into a good race, had traded a few layers of paint early on (with Oily mostly) in some tough close quarter scrapping. Then had some good racing with a few others, I seem to remember fighting off Matt/Minton & Lazlow for longer then I probably should have... I did just about everything I could to keep my little abarth in front  Grin, no worries for the nudge Dan, I reckon I'd earned it by then  Grin. Besides, it was only about a lap later i got to watch from very close quarters, your car burst into flames towards the end of the long straight, before I started choking on the black smoke  Wink.

Then Lazlow & me in our (poor little) abarths were doing our best to thwart Matt in his (evil powered by the devil) Cortina... that was fun too for a few laps till the connection dropped for most people. Kept going till the end & registered as the 2nd team Oldie driver on the podium. Now that doesn't happen every week  Wink Well done to you too Jos.

Thanks to Ginsters (& Bob) again for looking after us all so well for this last few seasons.

Tony & I hope to see you all next Thursday at..... (Details to be announced very soon Grin)
