Exactly the same that happened to me with the fuel gauge Navin, when I had pit I add only fuel for more 5 laps which I thought would be enough for the half fuel I had at the time.
Anyway, this time my strategy was not so good as previous races.
For the first laps I was trying to pressure Marco, but then I remembered my usual strategy and stopped to drive near the limits to safe fuel and tires. Navin was always close to me and I believe he was at the very same strategy, because when our gap spread a bit he closed fast on me again, but never tried to overtook me, unless on the minor mistakes I have done. On the other hand, I was doing the same when Navin was ahead of me, stay close, waiting for a mistake but never triyng to overtake. I must say that Navin gave me many confidence for driving close without any danger, behind or ahead. Very good driving, perfect lines and fair duel. Not easy on these 935 rear tires eaters.
Things began to going better when the gap for ADE and Matt were increasing and Marco got his pit stop on lap 17. I thought he would stop one more time and as the pit lane at W.G. is huge would be enough to get him on last two laps (well, at least if I wouldn't done the fuel mistake on my first stop)
But indeed it was what I thought at the time. Unfortunately Marco got a disconnection and my doubts remains.
All in all, was a very pleasent race night always with full atention at Navin. Great race!
Congrats ADE and Matt and ofcourse Navin for the great driving and work, he could finish at the podium aswell, I was lucky this time. Well done to all finishers.
I hope in future, GTL races have also pit stops strategy, undoubtadly adds more real feel and interest to the race. Well done Tony.
Cheers
