Season 38 1965F1 – Round 5 – Professionals - Parana

For those racing their 1967 cars at the weekend in Argentina, stay a couple more days and don't forget to hitch your 1965 car to the back of the transporter.
Paraná is the capital of Entre Ríos province, to the north of Buenos Aires. The Autódromo Ciudad de Paraná has a history going back to 1941, but was a dirt track with various layouts until asphalt was finally laid in 1969. The track has never hosted a championship F1 race, but has seen many national and international races for cars and bikes. Carlos Reutemann was a F2 champion here. It is a wide track allowing easy overtaking on long straights. There are tight corners too and it runs in an anti-clockwise direction.

 :(

Sory all for crach in V1

Disaster race last night.
I was thinking of race 67 and the V1 crash, so careful I'm well inside because of this tricky corner.
But boom I hit Phill (not on the replay I am thinking of the collision problem in GPL) this one by spinning and behind it is angrenage, again sorry for all.
I wait for everyone to come back and stay last all along the race.
Well done Tristan, Bastian and fpolicardi.

Thanks to the Administrators

No problem Alain, my replay shows your car jump to the right and make contact were there should not have been any contact. I think this was just another of the collision prediction issues that happens in GPL occasionally. Being new to this forum, I didn't see the option to post a short replay of the crash from my replay. From past experience I expected the 4th place qualifier to quickly overtake 2nd place on the start, but I didn't expect 1st place to be slow off the line. We all got bunched up quickly going into turn 1, and by turn 2 the field was still very tight. After the carnage I spent the rest of the race battling several different drivers. The racing was close and intense, overtaking was almost impossible with the cars so evenly matched.

Thanks for the fun racing,

Tom

We can't upload screenshots/replays etc directly to the forum. What people normally do is upload the screenshot/replay to a free file sharing website (like this one (https://imgbb.com/) - use the BBCodes option) and then post a link on this forum using the "Insert Image" or "Insert Hyperlink" icons in the post editor.
