Very happy to do a house call next week Clive. I am in Southport untill probably a week on Sunday. As I am not allowed to drive for a week after angioplasty it may be easier if you want to wander over here? I will be driving (real world) next Thursday probably, so perhaps we could do both? I have to say that on this G27 setup in SOuthport the steering isn't the same as my G25 setup in Newhey, where there is a lot more force from the wheel, it actually takes some effort to turn it, which for these cars I prefer. I will have a play here and see if I can get this one the way I like it. I may be racing Monday, depends how stiff my wrist is after all the drilling that they did.

Looks like I'm going to miss this one, assuming booked coach trip goes ahead. An "US" week coach tour base in Bournemouth - nice to be chauffeured so you can appreciate the countryside and not have to worry about car parking. Usually we are dropped off/picked up in town or the entrance to the day's event. Sounds good Bill, maybe a trip to Salisbury? Yes, trip in schedule, tour is GO!

I really need you to drive on my setup, to tell me if it sucks, or is it me! To me it feels as though the king pins are siezed but the track rods failed the MoT for being too loose.

LOL. bit preoccupied today with waiting for my wrist to stop leaking fuel. just had a one handed autogear run round zand, and steering is quite firm, so must be the other one that is not so good. You will need to be taxi if you want me there. hopefully all will be fine after the weekend

yes, I ran auto box. Damm wrist is prone to leaking with much movement at the moment, should heal up soon enough just a bit frustrating.

And another thing.............
When I try to host an event it will not show the F1 car set as an option. And if I select ALL then the F1 cars are not on the list. ;-(
Any ideas?

F1 cars don't appear on the "ALL" cars list. And I don't know why the dedi server will not show the F1 cars, sorry. When I launch the dedi server from within my GTL F1 '67 install I just choose the TVR and when I go to multiplayer and check on the car list, all the F1 cars are there.

Thanks Tony, I think that Matt's house call has helped. ;-)
One more question, is there actually any difference in the grip levels in the different sessions? I'm feeling so disconnected with my wheel that I can't tell!

I don't believe so. In your tracks location folder you will find a .gdb file which you can open with Notepad. If there are different track grip levels I think it will be listed here.

I tend to agree with Clive (the evil one’s) comments on the steering. I also think everything seems to happen a bit too quickly because the cars are a little too fast. I also suffer from the Magnus Pike syndrome when driving these cars. I still enjoy driving them and think it is a great mod that is very close but not quite perfect.
