My initial good pace seemed to drop off after as understeer crept in at about 19 laps of following Ken. A lap or 2 later, I bumped the wall and that was that, thankfully I managed to pull over without causing a yellow.
Not sure I could have handled 66 laps of droning around that place though! I don't think ovals are my thing really.
Cheers, Ross.

At last. Having done a few Mazda Milwaukees over in the iR system I was pretty comfortable running here. I have a decent setup and I found the line a while ago and it just takes a bit of hunting out again every time I go back. Ross was looking ominous until he started to get his understeer. Normally I get that, but I think mine was on the loose side right to the very end on this occasion. I wonder if that is something to do with running in clean air, or because I was able to manage my tyres after Ross retired? Iain still kept me honest the whole race though, with the gap never getting that big. The yellow with 10 to go made my nerves jangle a bit. It was a shame we got a little spread out. Racing here in the iR system is normally much more hectic. I know most of the big hitters were missing, but I would have beaten them anyway!!

I'm giving myself a big whoohooo! The last time I finished as high as that was July 2007! I really enjoyed that I was a little off my pace in qually but I'd rather start on the inside in 3rd than be on the outside in 2nd so losing out to Ross worked out OK really. It looked like Darren and Bernie were going to push me hard but Darren unfortunately lost it on lap 2 to leave me fairly comfortable in 3rd as I pulled away. It looked like Ross was really hammering it but seemed to get tight pretty quickly, I knew my setup worked pretty well in the long run so I just settled back and watched a couple of seconds down. When Ross scraped the wall I lost another few tenths making sure I avoided him, then sat just over 2s behind Ken for about 30 laps until the final yellow came out with 10 to go. I had a sniff as Ken slid it a little on the restart but that came to nothing as I had half an eye on Mike in 3rd. Really happy with my consistency, the set-up and the result The right man won, a pretty flawless drive from Ken, congrats on the win, nice to see another name at the top! Well done to all on only getting 2 yellows, awesome!

Wow, I really enjoyed that race. Started 6th, which is higher up than normal for me, managed to miss the first incident that brought the yellows out, and was up to 4th, but faster cars behind me caught up and got past me. Tires went off, and I got lapped, which was a shame as a few laps later another accident brought the 2nd yellow flag out with 10 laps to go. Made a pit stop for fresh tires, and managed to steal 5th place with a lap to go. Really enjoyed this race, and looking forward to Silverstone in two weeks time Thanks everyone, Well done to Ken for the win. Ian

My setup just wasn't up to it - understeering massively meant I was losing time hand over fist after a surprisingly good qually. In the end I rubbed a wall, and that was that - I brought it in to the pits to get out of everyones way.

I didn't get as much practice as I would have liked, but found a stable and consistent setup at least. No heroics at the start, and found myself following Ian Bassi after the restart, made my way past as his car began to push and settled into a good pace that I hoped would bring me back towards Pops if his tyres went off. At half distance the gap was still going the wrong way, so it looked like it wouldn't happen No joy on the final restart either, I could keep up in the draft, but that was it. I didn't have the setup right for anything more. Congrats Ken, there was only going to be one winner, you were mighty. Grats to Pops for a well driven 2nd

And where were you Oily???
Enjoyed that, my first oval experience. About a third the way through i understeered to much into the barriers which damaged the steering making the rest of it quite a challenge with an offset wheel and even more understeer. Could only manage 28's after that.
