Spent a lot of time testing for this one and managed to fit a couple of requested cars into the line up which should all be within a second or so of each other. It's a nice fast track with a good variety of turns which should provide lots of overtaking opportunities.

Note that the 1M has a manual turbo boost which can be altered on track by pressing numbers 1 through to 0 on your keypad. You'll need to use it wisely throughout the race if you want to make it to the flag  ;)

Tried the Lotus Evora and BMW m1, similar pace in both.
How do you know what percentage the BMW turbo is running at default before you choose another setting? Also what is the safe but still quick setting? I saw the damage logo come up a lot but it stayed white everytime so no idea if it was hurting.

I think 70% is the default setting and will last but you'll be slow. 80 to 90 should be ok but keep an eye on the damage indicator which gradually turns red as you slowly kill the engine. Some good info here and a link to a better looking damage app...

Turn on car physics app (enable dev apps) and you can see the "ELife" part which is Engine Life, if you are steady 80% will finiah you the race but 90 will most likely end up with a popped engine.

The gte is by far the fastest car. 1'37.1 was my current pb. None of the other cars were within 1sec.

I was testing at 1:40 to 1:42 for these cars, but yes the GTE was the quickest of the bunch although I reckon the 240R could be close. I quite like the E92 so I'll probably take that.

When using manual clutch and an h-shifter, you can maintain 80% turbo without the damage indicator popping up. 90% turbo will keep the damage indicator up and you'll see the engine slowly change colour, but I don't know how long you can stay on 90%. 100% turbo will increase damage very rapidly, but I think still good for a few laps, if you start it with no damage.

Jeez 1:37?!   :o. I was 1:42 in both cars I tried. Can't say the track inspired me to try many more laps.

Thanks for the info on the turbo.

I'm around the 40s with them all and I think I'll take the slowest E92, just because I like the sound of it  ;)

Sorry guys,

I'm going to be missing for a couple of weeks, maybe 3.... work commitments. We're running some prototype stuff for the 2017 Jags as well as moving premises so a few weeks of long hours ahead. If I'm around on Weds nights then I'll try and join in.

Have fun... I'll be back (at the back)  ;)

Of course it is, I'll be on TeamSpeak and Spanner is usually there to. If you've got AC, and there are free slots at the end of booking, you could join and spectate if you wanted to :)

BMW is within the stock game Bill.
Click on the BMW m1 from car selector then the little icon of a spanner(I think?)
And you can then select either standard or S3 version. You want the S3 to give you the turbo.

Thanks not seen it but not spent much time studying all available options.

Will find it to login to race and check out Chat.

Or you can simply log onto our server and choose the cars from the list. Note it is actually the 1M and not the mighty M1 of Procar fame that is in AC.

Once again I miss out on a race by not getting home early enough for the booking deadline  >:(
Any other series I can still join right up to end of qually, I just don't see why we need this annoying system with a handful of drivers  ???

Fun car to drive the BMW e92 s1. A shame to get caught in the mayhem turn 1, but still smiling all through the race. Sorry for the bump in the chicane Tudor. I was not sure if I was to blame, but I had to push on with Pete right on my tail.
To bad you missed out again MJ. I don't mind if we change to the pick-up system, as when the server is up for practice. It only sets the skins for you, so you can't choose that.

But why is it needed for only upto 10 racers? I don't mind if you guys would rather keep it, just means another less racer some weeks. It doesn't just deny me racing, it denies others someone to race against  :-\

If you're always back by 8:15 perhaps we could consider starting a few mins later? Not sure how everyone would feel about that.
