dload and run 'CCleaner' freebie software. Get it to clean up your system and your registry (might get rid of old Kapersky reg entries). Then try re-running your kapersky install (or better still another recommended malware remover).

Jeebers I better get some laps in here, not run it since the aborted race.

Other good freeware anti malware software is:

Superantispyware

and

Malwarebytes.

Formatting your HD should be the latest possibility ( I had to set up my Windows
five times during the last 3 weeks due to own and silly mistakes...  Roll Eyes )

Shocked I didn't realise this one was happening because of the race thread title (which I've just had a go at changing Undecided), I thought it odd this old post was rumbling on laugh

Blast! I already made plans to go to the beach. There is a slim chance that I'll get back in time to race. I think that I've said it before, but I like this track and car combo.

Kaspersky rescue disc is not instalation for windows. It`s stand alone bootable disc able to start your machine, scan for malware and remove it ... and it`s freeware - no trial period. Also good for salvage data if os is corrupted or whatever ... enough advertising  laugh

Porsche and boss are fun to drive but nowhere near escort and capri with lap times, at least not in my hands.

cu on track

I am pretty sure that the Mustang can do decent lap times here, although I do not know how they compare to the Escort and Capri.

Being as this died horribly on my home server last time, I am going to use our proper server
this time round. If people are getting discoes in prac/qaul, then we could move over to mine quickly
if required. If we do get trouble I may use mine again next week. Tony and I are both testing
alternative options in an attempt to improve the service.

was your home server acting as the practise server last night?  I only managed a handful of laps before it disconnected me and there were only 3 of us on track! Think an Italian got discoed too.  Sad

'Sup Frex ? we always run Thursdays....

My server has not been up for weeks. Last night must have been the real one.
if it's that bad, I could use mine. I am a little nervous of using it, as last time
(this event) we had mass disco half way through the race. The week before it
ran perfectly though with 20 people and nobody discoed.

Tony's GTL race on Monday had mass disco on the real server, so I am tempted to
run my home grown one again....

Hmmm, what to do what to do   Huh Huh Huh Huh

I will start my server for testing in an hour or so (when I get home) for the moment I will restart
the real server and see what happens. Try practicing off line if you can't stay connected?

That's what i thought, but couldn't see a race listed for today's date; thought it was a summer break or somethin.. My mistake, must have just missed it.

Fingers crossed might actually get back in time to race now, though pace will be lacking with no practice (getting excuses in early on   Smiley).
