I did try a few laps with your setups Geoff and although ( as you suspected ) they were not entirely to my liking, they were at least as quick but more stable. So I have looked at the differences between what I had and your setups to try and understand the physics. Later I will look at the replay and see how you were using what you had
I ran out of time for a comprehensive test programme, but one thing I did learn on the Mazda, was that having 100% brakes with a slight rear bias, which sounds like a good idea, is probably not recommended.
Once that 100% parameter is reduced and locking brakes are avoided, the rear bias can be increased and that helps turn in
. A sort of balancing act?
I have a wedding to attend over the weekend and apparently there is some intensive gardening planned
. I tried the ruse of having "treated" the grass with special additive which requires a week before any cutting should be done
, but that simply allowed tasks to be re directed towards other areas
I was also delaying any major research until the old wheel was retired. My new wheel/pedals etc are due for delivery on 24th, which is posh nosh day
in Salisbury, so probably won't be able to get that working before the evening's race
, even if we make it home in time. Maybe that is Tony's cunning plan? To delay our departure and encourage over indulgence so that we are unable to contest the evening's event?.........sneaky huh?
