Strange issue during race which I once registered long time ago: had an off just where the split time counts. So I missed the split time and when I crossed start-finish line time didn't start again at 0:00 for the next lap That would mean: automatically one lap down, which indeed doesn't matter. But due to my usual back-pain I decided to quit.

If i say that i love this track i m a liar, anyway it s gone enough well, not perfect all but enough yes. I m satisfied mostly for my pitstop, this has been perfect. I was worried because usually Geoffers and Erling are both the pitstop Masters and would have been problems if i was behind after my pitstop, in facts if i could earn from Turn5 to Turn15 on straights i not was strong and in this conditions it was difficult find a windows for an overtake. When i went out of pit lane my laps was on 1:52.5 1:52.7 i think 1:51.8 was possible but the risk was too high especially for S&G warning (i take just one) 1:52 was enough for recover some seconds on Geoffers, for sure he had problems on his pitstop.
Grats to Erling Grats to Geoffers Grats to Matt, the situation on Division2 championship is very intresting among Clive, Matt and Bob. Who will win ?

Well I much preferred this track to Dubai, which I hated. I thought this circuit had a good flow to it and I liked attacking those 2nd gear apexes. Pretty lonely race tho. Unable to keep up with the pace of the fast guys in front of me so just concentrated on hot lapping. Hopefully the next one at Sepang will be more interesting?

Reading about the track, I realized it's another Tilke creation. Fits the pattern well, as I'm in the camp that dislikes most of his tracks. Flow through certain corner combinations, as Tony mentioned, was growing on me, but I hate 1st gear corners, especially with cars like these, and here there's no less than 4 of those. Track will thus never be a favorite of mine.
Chuffed with qual, as I knocked a fair bit off my pb, but nowhere near enough to challenge Geoffers, not to mention Ziu. After the start, I found myself in the vacuum between the fast duo and the rest of the field. Gaps to Geoffers in front, and Tony behind, were growing at almost the exact same rate. Thus looking to be a lonely and boring race.
Pitstop at the end of L13 went smoothly, and I was still 3rd when I rejoined. Two laps later, things were piqued up, when I passed Geoffers in the pits. Beginning of next lap showed a gap of 17 secs, with 10 laps to go. Had lost 1-2 secs per lap to him earlier, so concentrated on going as fast as possible. Next lap, gap had jumped to +20 secs, 23 or 26; can't remember. Relaxed a bit, but a bit too much. This plus a downshift mistake saw the gap drop alarmingly, so had to concentrate on getting some fast laps without overcooking it. Fortunately held to the finish.
Grats to Ziu on win, grats/commiserations to Geoff for 3rd and bungling his pitstop. Grats also to Div.2 podium.
Cheers, Erling

Grats to those who can actually drive these infernal machines and to the podium.
Before I raise this issue let me be clear that I am not bothered by the end result, as I was never in contention for any glory...but having read the post by SpecialKS, I wonder if there is a glitch with this track??
I noticed at about 3/4 distance that Steve was suddenly in front of me, although I cannot recall him passing me. It was at the end of the race as I was trying to run down oldgeezer that I noticed that I was 2 laps down? But I believe I was only lapped once by Ziu and Co... at least I think I was allowing for their pitstops etc..

I definitely only lapped you once, unless I should have passed you in the pits, but I had driver tags on in the 2nd half of the race, so pretty sure I would have noticed. As Ziu wasn't 1 lap ahead of me, there's no way you could be 2 laps down. Seems there's something fishy here.. Cheers, Erling

Tony, I'm not bothered about the result, That can stand as far as I am concerned.
Just trying to avoid any awkward moments should this track be used again.

I was also surprised to finish ahead of you Clive, but assumed I had passed you in the pits. I'll look at the replay this evening and see what happened (or anyone else can if they wish). i was behind after my pistop,
Ziu, who wouldn't be if nature calls

Fairly quiet race for me, apart from making a right Horlicks of the pitstop. Did not have the pace to stay with Ziu who was 2s a lap faster. Following him in the early laps he was gaining all that time through the twisty section in the middle of the lap. Your setup clearly gives a lot better grip than mine Ziu. Equally I was around 1s a lap quicker than Erling so we quickly got spread out & that's probably how it would have finished if I hadn't made a mess of my stop. First I overshot my pit & had to reverse & have another go but kept stalling the car until I realised the key I was pressing for the clutch was the pit limiter key!!!!!!!!! Once I pressed the right key I got reversed & had another go at pitting, must have lost at least 25s faffing around, by then Erling had gone through & any chance of getting 2nd was gone. Congrats to Ziu & Erling & Matt for winning Div2. Although I enjoy driving these cars they do tend to exaggerate the difference between drivers & I am seriously tempted to try the slowest Div 2 car in the next race to maybe have a more exciting race.
