A bit lonely race for me, but at least I could try a different strategy this time.
I tried in qualif with 40 litres and soft front/rear tyres, just to see the pace in this configuration. The pace was good, but I strongly guess that my final race time would have been slightly better without changing tyres in this race. The tyre wear was not so high in this track, and I could push a lot even cause I feel quite safe with the car. Evenmore I like this track, and the race of the previous week surely helped a lot, even if I did no training with the proto before the race, and spent about 20 mins before the race to do some laps in row in race trim with the setup I used at Spa, changing only the gear ratio and rear camber.
I escaped by the rest of the group during the first laps, and kept a really good pace for the rest of the race, with only a couple of mistakes during the 39 laps of the race. Then I refueled up to 50 litres, cause I forgot to change my fuel strategy after Spa
, and i did the last 13 laps in qualif mode, pushing a lot to have a comparison with the no change strategy. However the difference is very thin, and I will choose the strategy during the race for the next races, cause it strongly depends on the gap by the other drivers.
Grats to H@l and Clive for the podium, and to all the drivers at the finish line.
I will upload again my setup, if someone want to try it. I hope it will fit even for the Nurburgring track... who knows
