I really enjoyed the challenge of this track. To keep concentrating for the amount of time you need to is unlike the other tracks we race. My race went quite smoothly which was helped by the Z4's stability/tyre wear so I could just think about keeping the car on the track, not that I didn't stray on to the grass a couple of times. I had a really long 1st gear which was always gonna kill my start, after I got going it was just a case of trying to keep the car on the track and to not overdrive.
It was nice to win but even nicer to finish angel
Well done everyone who finished and unlucky to those who didn't...and even more so to SRW

Should be able to make next weekend too Cool

I had a decent enough race. It wasn't the nicest of feelings being very slow on the straights and very quick in the corners. I drove the wrong race really and pushed far too hard making a couple of errors costing me more time than I gained by pushing. I decided that if I was going to have any chance of victory I needed to jump Berger in the pits so I opted for no change of tyres at the stop. This worked but the tactic was a waste when again I made a mistake and put a wheel beyond the curb at corner entry and slid into the sand to let Berger past...Not that I would've held him up for long anyway Grin
I thought H@L had the race in the bag but he came in for a last minute splash and dash. Unlucky H@L Sad
Grats to Berger tho' on another good performace Cool
Well done to all who raced Cool

Sorry for the late reply, one of the kids has been overnight at the hospital(nothing serious). Probably overexposure to dad's 24 hour racing Grin

I raced session 7 in the end after inconveniencing Dan's sleep. The connection seemed good and I was well up for trying to ease my need to do some racing Huh
The race went pretty smoothly, I had a couple of offs. The first off was the corner before the 1st long straight, after that I really bottled that corner for the rest of the race taking too tight a line through it to avoid the gravel on the corner entry and then having to slow down too much to make the corner. Apart from that the session was pretty boring with nobody to actually race just the odd car to lap every now and then. Even so it was a great test of the mind, In saying that I didn't envy TT and Andie's session especially which looked like the supreme test of a sim racers psychology. He did a great job to bring the car home Cool

I thought it was a immense effort from everybody on every session and without my disconnect 2nd place was a real prospect, so for that I am sorry guys. 4th overall though is a great result when you see those who we raced against, a top 5 finish in that company is not to be sniffed at so well done all Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool
Great effort Cool

A massive thanks to GTWEB for the event, those fellas sure know how to do their sim racing Cool
Great timing boards, TS Sever, live standings, live TV and commentry and just the whole feel and build up to the event is top notch Cool

Absolutely gutted Angry
Feel pretty deflated at the moment as the whole TS channel does.
I got a disco but I believe it was my end. This line has been solid ever since we've had it but in qualifying the other night I kept losing the connection. I rebooted the router and thought no more of it as I didn't lose the connection again.
I'm very sorry guys.
Roadrunner, can you drive the morning stint?
I can see no point in driving if this happened as it'd probably happen again. I will drive it if nobody else does though.
Hopefully you all have good drives and can get a decent result from here.
Good luck Smiley

No rain until 70% humidity spanner.
1st session should be totally dry.
Session 5 will be light rain for around the last 20mins.
Session 6 will be dry for 10 mins then wet through.
Session 8 is the one to avoid! Rain to start around 15mins in and finish at around the 120min mark.
The rest should be dry.

Yer the real test comes now Cool
It was a PB by 0.9s so I can't be disappointed with that and 3rd, which is far better than I expected. Thought at one stage a sub 3:19 was gonna happen but my ability wouldn't let me Grin
Good luck Manteos and all our drivers Cool

I noticed that both Jon's and Pudie's setups were allowing the tyres to get much hotter (with me at the wheel anyway) than mine was. I had still been going for the 10 degree difference in heat from inside to outside edge in the front tyres and 5 degrees in the back tyres like you would with a GT car.
The penny finally dropped...I'd been trying to get the tyre pressures to 200Kpa regardless of anything else like I do in GT races Embarrassed Should use the old brain abit more and pure habit a bit less.
I had a drive in Lazlows setup and his mediums were staying at nice temps. Feel a bit of a noob Grin Anyway since I started letting those badboys get up to 230-240Kpa the car is better and I think I may go for mediums front and back for the race(still need to do a test run though).

Ok this is gonna be my setup for qually. It's just a mix of all the setups Grin Thankyou Cool
All I need now is one good lap Smiley
