REAL GTL Mod by Nappe1

We have received permission to run this GTL mod and it will feature in next years GTL season (L12).

This mod takes the standard TC65 car set and introduces better physics and other tweaks. Some extra cars are added too including the Lotus Elite from the GTC65 set. These are grouped into two divisions and should provide some great racing.

For those of you who would like to try it out here are the links required.

The real mod 1.0:
http://downloads.gamers-crib.com/Sim%20Racing/GTL/Mods/RealMod/RealMod10.exe

and last update (to ver 1.3):
http://downloads.gamers-crib.com/Sim%20Racing/GTL/Mods/RealMod/RealMod13update.exe

It's best if you create a standalone GTL install (copy your GTL to a temp folder, rename it e.g. REAL GTL, then copy back to your usual directory. Path the install to the new REAL GTL you have just created).  Install ver 1.0 first then update with the ver 1.3 install. Run the sim and purchase the cars.
We will not be able to use any skin packs with this mod.

Hopefully we will be running these races with the two divisions but I need to sort that out with Dave.

Post here if you have any comments/problems etc.

Big thanks to Goldtop who bought this to my attention  thumbup1

Tony, you need to paste the full URLs in - the ones you've posted contain "ellipsised-out" stuff.

Thanks Tony looks very smart - not had a proper drive yet.  Still as a Horlicks drinking Parc driver my view counts for very little.

Grandson recons that it is Awesome, the Falcon now turns in nicely.  thumbup1 Tried all the cars very quickly at Donny Nat and impressed, the track looks better and the car handling good apart from Gordini which is very twitchy.  Huh Roll Eyes oops

Grandson done most of driving he got down to 2:20 at Monza GP in Falcon and I couldn't better 2:22.  The Falcon around there is much more chuckable.  rockon

Hope we give this a go. The changes to the physics are subtle with some cars, the Alfa and tina for instance, but they do seem to have much more feel to them. The Jag is a huge improvement on the understeering lump of the standard GTL.

Funny, I headed straight for Doni Nat aswell when I tested these.

Don't think the tracks have been improved?  Wink

I used Goodwood and the Gordini is prone to wanting to switch ends, probably cos the back and the front look the same  Cheesy
