Championship standings HERE Grid/server capacity: 28 Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins) Qualifying: 20:20 (20 mins) Race: 20:40 (22 laps) Track: Bridgehampton Download thisCars allowed: American 1970's V8's pack Download this AMC Javelin Camaro Z28 Dodge Challenger RT71 Ford XB Falcon GT Plymouth SC 'Cuda Pontiac Firebird Time of Day Setting: 14:00 Start: STANDING Tyre wear: Normal Fuel consumption: Normal Server: simracing.org.uk Mondays Password: see aboveNotes: (1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage. (2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules. (3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read Autopit="0" Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable. Special Notes: The most popular car will be dropped for the remainder of this series.

Hope I can make this one. Am going on a real life driving adventure in Scotland, together with 5 of the usual Porsche suspects. Leaving our own cars at home though, and have rented some British classics instead: a Jaguar E, a Caterham, a Triumph TR-6 and a Triumph Stag (wanted a Healey, but it was reserved by someone else) It will be my first experience with left-side driving and shifting. Must admit I'm getting increasingly apprehensive Flying to Edinburgh tomorrow afternoon and should be back Monday, hopefully early enough to make the race. Please keep your fingers crossed for us.. Cheers, Erling

The roads and scenary are fantastic Erling. The travel company I use do something sililar where you can hire classic cars. I must admit I'm tempted by an E-Type Let us know how you get on.

Have travelled much of the west coast but never in a classic. I'm just a little envious

I looked at a site that hires out "classic cars" maybe the same one, and one of the choices was an Austin Allegro Now they may be old, but "classic" is not a word that comes to mind when talking about Allegros.. eeeek.

Quick sitrep:
In Inverness now. Have driven Jag & Caterham today, and co-driven Stag.
Jag; nice, but to be honest, it looks better than it drives. A 4.2, but doesn't really feel that big - guzzling fuel though :-)
Caterham; intense, with telepathic steering. Very uncomfortable and not easy to get in and out of..
Stag sounds eye-wateringly good. Whatever bad stuff is said about it, is forgiven as soon as you hear it :-)
Left-hand driving and shifting has fortunately gone better than feared.
Cheers, Erling

Sounds good Erling. I have always found that driving on the wrong side of the road on "The Continent" is easier with the correct car for the country.
