The UKGPL F2 Club Challenge Fun Races


To celebrate the end of this great Season 22 and to do a first step to F2s for some of you.
We will do 6 x 2 fun races with all the new F2 cars.  
Which is the best F2 car for you?

There will be 2 intermediate short races of 25-30 mins on the same track.
You have to use a different car in each race - but up to you which one you start with.

I would love to do this so I am hoping my wife will be out....  :D

The sheer number of cars in the F2 mod is what puts me off it, so this is an ideal opportunity to try them out.

Do we have to drive both cars or just pickup one of them?

Hope I'm free for this and rid of the "man flue plague" which I am hampered with at the moment  :'(

Natan - its like the old Spec Series - you have to use a different car in each race - but up to you which one you start with. The idea is to get peiople familiat with the F2 car set.
 
Cookie - From memory a lap at Oulton should be about 1.40. For a race of 25 - 30 minutes it would be 15 - 18 laps.

This "spec" racing worked well.... the point is there are TWO races each night. You have to use one of the cars selected in race one and the other in race two. Its up to you which order you take them in.

I'll have a go. I can only do the Friday race's though  :'(

You have my sympathy Bernie!! I too suffered from this vicious bug and as my wife will testify I only just avoided a horrible fate myself ( not entirely convinced that I did not have rigor mortice BTW :-\)

Thank you Clive for the kind words  I didn't know who to contact first , the Doctor or the Priest .

I also sent the wife out for urgent supplies of whisky and honey .

Hope all you 'sufferers' don't get anything REALLY serious  :laugh:

I have to take my son to Judo tomorrow night so I'll definitely miss the first race.  Hopefully I'll be back in time for the second race.   I don't want to take the place of someone trying to do both races so I'll only join the second race if there is a spare place (not likely judging by the interest!!)

Sounds like a top idea during this off-season - please count me in!
 
Admittedly I've only been to a couple of those tracks & know nothing about those F2s;   but sounds interesting!

(hopefully I can sneak away to all the events...)
