I've got everything maxed in most cases unless the track conversion has heavy # of shadows/reflections.

Nice challenging track. Watched some races on this Algarve track but it's really a roller coaster. Was afraid that it was going to be a bit lonely after scaring everybody away but fortunately my teamie was friendly enough to give me the impression I had some speed in the E-Type Congrats to Mike and Ian. Your Alien chatter was interesting during praccy. Fortunately I had my tricoder switched on.

I think the difference between Ian and I tonight was the tires. I prefer the Firestone and even the Dunlops over the BFG's and I think they are a tick faster, but the BFG's last longer. He even noticed the BFG's can be a bit spooky during his quail session. Interesting he ran the same pace in the race and quali. I felt as if there was less grip in the quali session, but with light fuel, the pace still was much quicker. I blew the 1st tight right and the tight left at the bottom of the hill on lap 1. The car behaves so much differently the 1st lap. Ian was through on the 2nd mistake, but in time returned the favor allowing me past a lap or two later. Once we were done playing leap frog, we started to gap the field. He held on tight for a few more laps and then the gap slowly grew. It seemed as if our tires degraded at relatively the same rate. Many appologies to Ade for the contact at the end. I wanted to get behind you and give you a little bump draft so you could take the fight to Legzy. I didn't expect you to slow down and let me by. Were you done racing? You were severly handicapped with the Falcon, but you did put on a fantastic smoke show. Congrats to Ian and I think it was API on the podium.

Lol apologies for that, hope you didn't pick up the fact I haven't a clue Throughly enjoyed that. I pushed as hard as I could for virtually the whole race and Mike was simply too good but I kept him honest at least. Congrats to him and API Much respect, again, to Ade for taking the Falcon. Cheers to those we lapped who were excellent and apologies to Sandor who I nearly clipped whilst trying to flash my lights in thanks Not very bright that.

Enjoyed that more than I thought I would, despite the Jag handling like a dish of rice pudding. Knew the track from a previous race, so just a matter of a few laps to set up and very happy with mid grid for quali. Gained a couple of places after the T1 troubles and set about catching Clive, who proceeded to pull away from me by a few tenths per lap. Had a bit of a dull time until I was caught by the recovering Matt and we then had one of our long battles until he pulled a couple of seconds towards the end Congrats to my teamies on their one two and well done to Ade for taking the Falcon (I think the only one on the grid).

Big appologies for my messy T2, I was unsure of who was up which side, and made a right greyling of it bounced off a couple of people Legzy was one, I do hope the other wasn't MJ hitting my truncheon with the back of his head again Had some really good racing gradually catching and passing some, until finally caught Goldy, by then my tyres were not at their best, and though on a good lap I was a tad quicker, good laps were becoming harder to find, there were a couple down the back of the sofa, another behind the fridge, but then they were all gone, and we traded places two abreast round corners passing and repassing within the lenght of one turn at one time, I lost it somewhere with slidey rears, and he slipped by I eventually got past again and hung on to a second or two gap up to the end. Very fine racing was to be had, I think the Mustangs had it on pace, but the Jags seemed to last longer before losing grip. EDIT: Geoffers was the other innocent bystander, really sorry, did not realise you were still off track or i would have waited longer.

A severe lack of track time/praccy hampered me from the start here and there were plenty of corners to learn in the race practise session. Never felt like i had really learnt it even by race end. I just didnt get on with this car selection, finding none of them 'nice' to race here although the track itself is a cracker. Had a boring long race sitting 9th with no one near me, until about 10mins from the end when spanner caught me. Enjoyed a good scrap with him for lap after lap, that got even meatier when Geoffers also joined in the fray. Think we all exchanged a bit of paint and places in the wayward cars in awkward corners but all good clean fun and i crossed the line in 9th. I was actually pleased with a top 10 finish

I had assumed from testing that the Jag was quicker in the turns and slower on the staright, but watching the replay it would seem to be the other way round, Maybe if I'd spent more time with Jag setups I might have matched my 350 times but I suspect not.

I must admit that I've never noticed the (nearly) incident, so apologies accepted Was in doubt if I could make it through the race but decided to give it a try and see how far I could get. I had a good start and made it to 11th place. Was a lot slower so got passed again by everyone. Had great fun battling with my teammate for last place.

No worries Matt, you were faster than me so it wouldn't have made any difference if you had waited. Had quite a fun race battling back up the field, although I found it real hard to pass. As Matt said, the Jags & Ade's Falcon were faster on the straights but held the GT350 up through the turns. Had a good battle with Legzy for several laps until he ran wide at the tight RHer that drops downhill. I went for the inside but drifted a little wide on the exit & barged Legzy's recovering E-Type off the track . Apologies Legzy. After waiting I managed to pass cleanly at the second attempt. Towards the end I caught the battling Jags of Spanner & MarkJ & we had a great fight over the last 3-4 laps. At one point Spanner & I did nearly half a lap side by side, nobody willing to give way, great stuff. That little sub-battle allowed Mark to open a gap which, despite setting my fastest lap on the final lap, I couldn't quite close. Congrats to the Kerbies duo & API

The track is amazing, one of the best IMHO. It has all, except a looping. A recent made track that is not boring, fortunately it wasn't designed by that fellow that I do not remember his name... My usually couple of practice laps made me chose the E-Type (thank god Legzy changed to the lighweight allowing us to have fun fighting with different behavior cars) My setup was clearly an oversteering one. The race was always with full attention as I was always busy. A first stint with API and Lazlow, the major hard work was with Marco and our battle for more than half race. Side by side many times and we finished with a 0.019 gap. I have seen some parts of the replay, I believe I did last lap holding my breath. Was a great duel with two different cars, awesome! All this, always with Clive in my mirrors, all 18 laps. Fortunately always with a safe gap. Congrats to podium and to all finishers. Cheers

Well despite being hit 'good n proper' four times , I enjoyed that. Sorry racers, I think I made some mistakes in preparation for this race. Not only was the GT350 SCCA I choose obviously way too fast, the Weslake Falcon just felt awful here. Dropping the fastest car is never a good move, because that tends to be the one people want to drive (strange that), so was lucky that the Light Jag was more competitive but not faster as again people would have been upset they hadn't had the chance to practice with the fastest car. So sorry for that. Onto the race, started 11th with a pb in qualli. Sadly got dragged into the T2 issues & lost some places there, but enjoyed making them back up. Had a few laps with Sandor, bit with Matt, some with Spanner, nearly had some fun with MJ but just as I was about to catch him he went off (I reckon he was chicken ). Best fight was with Geoffers, he caught me up & I think was a fraction faster but couldn't make a pass stick so we were for a good while. Sadly it ended when he hit me. I was pleased he waited, but my car wasn't the same after that & I had no way to defend my position, just gutted we lost what I think would have been a fight to the finish line. Once Geoffers was past, I waited up for Ade who was the only man stupid brave enough to have selected the Falcon (where was SBG's Falcon? Don't worry about what Mike's doing) so we would both have some company to the end. Good fun mate, especially that time at T1 , still you got your reward from Mike at the end Track will be a bit more traditional next week, visiting Rouen 1955-70 , that should have MJ all wet
