Enjoyed that! had some entertaining battles, firstly with Truetom and diced a little with Mo on the couple of occasions that I caught you! Truetom, hope you didn't mind me NOT passing you when you ran wide letting a GT1 car through, spent a wee while chasing you down and didn't want to pass in such an uncontested way! (we both lost a tiny amount of time with the confusion i probably caused flashing my lights to let you stay in front, but the battle after for the 3/4 laps was well worth it!! )

I now see that you "only" won 4s in the pits Simon. I had 19L left when I pitted in (started with 100 as well) and filled it up to 80L and I finished with 6 left or something. So indeed my drivingstyle is a bit harder on fuel, but what use is fuel after the finish, let it burn . Yes sounds about right Jeff. The other theory on the fuel is, if it ain't in the car it ain't slowing you down. The C5R is by far not the slowest GT1 car. Especially for endurance events it's pretty good. It has proven it's worth at Simracing.nl where it even won a race and always was near or in the top 5. Without the ballast pack, the Viper, Lister and Mc12 are worst.
True, I'd forgotten about the Lister especially as no one takes it. Presumably due to it's awful engine sounding like driving a 2W hair dryer. I think the Viper is faster than the Vette in non ballasted mode though and you can win in anything m8 so

Besides, I would be fun even if I chased you around for a change. Good driving. TT

Sorry Jure, That was me in the vertigo. Problem was before the race I changed the PLR settings so I could have a wider angle view for re-joining the track (expecting to be doing it alot ). Unfortunately though doing that meant when I tried to look in my mirrors I got a lovely view of Dubai Market . I was using the 'look behind' button and in the above near miss, I had a quick glance and saw a couple of cars rocketing up so I stayed right and let them pass...Didn't realise there was a third untill I heard the roaring engine, squeeling brakes and lots of swearing I will be changing my PLR settings again before the next race..(or maybe if I drive backwards I'll have a better view...and probably be faster....hmmmmm) Sorry again, hope I diddn't hold you up too much or spoil anything for you...or anybody else.

I'm still trying to work out where it has all gone wrong for me.
I would not say my driving style is overly aggressive or heavy on the tyres but mine always seem to go first. I was positive after plenty of offline testing I was going to OK this time, but the extra heat ruined that.
Watching Backo the first number of laps his back end was swinging around and I was confident his tyres would not last, yet they did. I thought I was very stable yet mine went much quicker.
During my offline practice my strategy was giving pit times of 52-54secs yet in race it was 63secs. I can only assume it was to repair damage but I did not think it was that much and I was so confident of my strategy I was able to hit he enter button as soon as car stopped, so never noticed repair time.
Even after my tyres lose performance the car is still very stable but just lacks grip and I end up with huge lap time loss. I'm going to need to get to the bottom of this and work out why.
It seems the top guys tend to lose only about 1 second between qualifying and race set up's then during the race they don't have the same performance drop off as me.

The Lambo has the worst tyremanagement. It eats them for breakfast. The F550 is much MUCh better on the tyres, so that is one point you lose in the Lambo.
It's also important to know which tyres go. For me it's 9 out of 10 times the fronts. So swinging the back out all the times won't say too much IMO.
One thing that can kill your fronts is oversteering them front wheels. Try reducing steering lock to get more gentle, or use the throttle more for cornering if it's the fronts that die. If it's the rears you can increase the diff (slow corners) or rear wing (fast corners).
Also keep an eye on the tyrepressure, optimum is 200 kPa (90-95 degrees).

There is a separate note in the sharks site Ruskus and even my set up if you want a look and see what the story is.

I don't know about Backos setup but my F550s rear end was all over the place in first few laps too. Reason is simple, medium fronts, hard rears, takes time to heat them up (sometimes I even try to burn them on purpose to put in that extra heat asap. Risky but efective.). Kerr, IMHO Your fronts die very fast cause you brake very late and then turn in very fast, Alonso style, watched you drive yesterday, you're agressive and (thinking out loud now) on not enough throttle when turning in so u get understeer and abuse outside front tyre. Besides, I have no idea why you all state Lambo eats tyres, F550 is much worse imho, at least in endurance racing. Well, at least that's my experience so far. Remember my Silverstone setup Rusky? No tyre problem there, right? psuedo, no worries. Just use the trick I've implemented some time ago, tweak sound options so you can hear other cars much sooner, helps a lot (on headphones you know exactly where they are).

Christian Szell: Oh, don't worry. I'm not going into that cavity. That nerve's already dying. A live, freshly-cut nerve is infinitely more sensitive. So I'll just drill into a healthy tooth until I reach the pulp. That is unless, of course, you can tell me that it's safe.

I do break late but did you ever once see a lock up? I very rarely do. The Lambo does dive in very quickly regardless of driving style. My set up that I used last night only starts to suffer understeer a bit once the tyres are gone. Other than that it's very solid. I'm just wondering how much my set up influences wear over my driving style
