The first race in the new championship. The race will be set to a lap count rather than timed but, I aim to choose a lap number that will be close to a 1 hour race. I will update the first post when I have figured out how many laps I think it should be. Sorry that it has been so long getting the season under way (again) this one took a lot of my spare time. It will be good to take part in some competitive championship racing again.

I'm actually more and more a fan of counting laps for the duration of the race, it makes math a bit easier.

I guess that I will jump this race Racing Week-end in Vallelunga for me and some VDA guys, so I won't probably be on time for the race... Otherwise I will surely join it with pleasure Cu

Let me know when it's time to mention the Porka's too fast Yer, now seems like a good time. We can use the server manager to add weight if needed.

You should need just one fuel stop in any/all the cars qs384. It works out as about 190% of a tank of fuel being required by any car, if I remember correctly.

Not wanting to further the rumuors that the porsche is too fast i'm hoping to try out the F360 as i felt i got it working reasonably well at Montreal. I know i've tried to get used to it before but i'd like to be able to drive more than one or two cars in the class.

A quick look at this table (from the last GTC Season) would certainly suggest that the 997 Porka has an edge over the other cars. I wouldn't wish to ask people to not take what might be their favourite car, but could we maybe add some cumulative ballast after each round? 1st = 15kg 2nd = 10kg 3rd = 5kg So for example, if API finishes 2nd in the 1st race & wins the 3rd race (mirroring the S13GTC season), he'd be carrying 25kg ballast for race four. If he then wins race four he'd have 40kg for race five... It's a six race season, so the max weight penalty would be a 75kg (i.e. 5x15=75kg) ballast in the last race. It's not a massive amount of ballast, but might help keep the grids/races tighter (not to mention the Championship) therefore busier. The the busier the merrier! Smaller values could also be used obviously, but it generally takes about 5kg to beat all noticeable. Just an idea

As much as i dont want to agree with Legzy(more out of principle than anything else ) I think running with success ballast is a good idea and should at least help to equalise things a bit between the extremes of talent. I know this isnt touring cars but we do have quite a spread of talent here! and it should help people think more of a series long fight than a single race. However i',m sure i'll never be running with full ballast so it depends on whether the faster guys mind it. I know many other leagures do run with success ballast so we are hardly trailblazing here. However as it is days away from the new season starting i could understand if H@L didnt want to consider it just yet.

Like the sound of ballast and I don't think the amounts mentoned will have that big an impact on the faster guys other than to spice things up a bit, which can't be bad As for the Porsches, once again I'm slightly quicker here in the RS than the Cup car at around 2:05 (offline with race fuel). I do find however that the RS is significantly harder to drive and be consistent with. Haven't tried the other cars, but would expect to be slower anyway as I never drive them. Don't get nobblin' me Porsche
